Hewitt and Marriott Released, No Deals Yet for Anderson, Ambrose, Chaplow and Hunt Brothers
at 21:46:07

Sorry to hear about Hewitt and Anderson but otherwise makes sense, we need to improve the squad from a footballing point of view, closing down and route one has taken us as far as we can expect, to push on we need to be able to play some passing football as well.

Chopra and Stearman Back for Bolton Clash

Anyone know whether the Hewitt injury is related to the injury he had when we signed him? Would be a concern if so. Fancy us to nick this one 2-1.

McCarthy Disappointed to Concede After Break
at 22:40:39

Was at the game: Loach was great pulled off the saves he could, Hewitt looked like a really good prospect, defended well and wasn't afraid to get forward but tired towards the end (understandably hence the Carlos coming on to protect him down that side), Creswell played well and looked comfortable against premiership opposition. Kisnorbo and Smith did excellent considering they have never played together - Kisnorbo looks tidy. JET was my big disappointment — I thought this was set up for him to make an impact but he never managed a mazy run or a fizzer from outside the box although he did thread a couple of dangerous through balls. Hyam maybe got found out a little bit — he worked hard but ended up being booked for persistant fouling (having being warned) and then could have been sent off for a bad tackle at the very end however he did put through an excellent ball in the final stages to set one of our strikers free. Reo K actually had imo his best game I have seen for Town — maybe a bit more time on the ball helped. Maritn, Murphy and Chopra worked hard as you would expect and put in a decent shift without being outstanding. Overall we came away feeling that we deserved a draw and that the team and the fans had done the Club and Town proud. This was a case of being able to hold your head high even in defeat.

Hutchings: Jewell Still Town Boss

Oh Dear, If ITFC had won what would be all the postings then? What about looking at the performance and whether it showed PJ is shaping a team to improve or to continue as is? Or is that naive?

Agree with you although there were other factors leading to our slump. But I totally agree that Finidi George display was on of best ever in an Ipswich shirt i have seen.

West Ham Friendly Free for Kids
at 22:24:30

I know there are costs with staging any game - staffing etc - but this really should be a loss leader e.g. £5 adults / £3 consessions / £1 kids. Also a Premier League / European top flight team would be so much more an attracive tie as the "showcase" friendly.

Jewell Wants Permanent Number One

@Bangor I agree. I've also noticed that Cresswell, good player / prospect that he is, allows too many crosses to get past him - something to work on in training with the coaches.
