Not throwing shade at Delap who is really a rare talent, but I for one don't mind that we will obviously lose him in the off season.
Glad McKenna started with Hirst today. Not sure either of those goals would've happened without the build-up play from Hirst. |

That signing Kieffer Moore as our 3rd striker at the start of the season would've offered us an out ball for going long when we needed to dig in during the tough games?
Thinking about it (with the benefit of hindsight) I feel we might've been naive about our prospects of being able to thrive by playing out from the back in the Prem without Hladky. In tougher games and with goalies low on confidence we tend to go longer more, but without an out and out target man, the ball tends to come straight back at us inviting pressure. At the time I didn't think he was good enough but thinking about it it feels like he would've been exactly what we needed to give us something different at a 3rd option. Also he knew the players and seemed to gel well with the team. |

I guess this is what being in the Prem feels like...still I'd take this over Accrington Stanley any day of the week (no offence to Accrington).
We're barely laying a glove on them, is it a case of Liverpool just being too good or us either not good enough / too awed by the occasion?
We were more of a threat in our first match than today, which is a bit of a pity. |
