The pitch includes the area around it. This is section 4 of the Football (Offences) Act 1991. "It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove)." There is no lawful authority or excuse (which would cover, say, a fire), and this legislation was brought in for a reason. And whilst there may be safety in numbers, those who lead the way could well be arrested and banned. And who is to say that the same might not happen to others? To my mind the celebrations of the players on the pitch at Barnsley were magical, and I would rather the same on Saturday. |

A plea before the game from Mark Ashton and maybe also the Gamechanger people would seem sensible, whether on the big screen or in person. |
| News Comment | Schumacher: We More Than Deserved Something From the Game at 22:10:56
He strikes me as being a very good manager. Indeed, in the first half I thought he out-thought McKenna especially with the four or five players close to the penalty area when Walton had the ball. This meant we couldn't play out from the back, with the result that Walton had to kick, generally to nowhere, which was presumably part of the plan. They clearly look out for younger players with talent, so good relations with a club like Norwich sounds a good idea. Indeed, the 5 players they have bought in the transfer window are aged 20-22, in contrast to our 3 players who are that bit older. In any event, I thought at times that they were the best footballing side I've seen at Portman Road since MK Dons last season. |

I agree BotesdaleBlue. BBC local radio provided a great deal of companionship to my elderly mother after my father died. Indeed, in some ways BBC local radio has become a bit more like Radio 2 used to be, given the drive by Radio 2 and most commercial stations for younger audiences. |

It's good to see him back in the fold, because after last season he looked on his way out. I think McK has clearly worked with him, and this season he has done well, and rarely given the ball away, when he has played. He also has the versatility to play on both left and right. |
| News Comment | Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer at 12:24:27
EADT is reporting the fee is understood to be £500,000 with add-ons, and a healthy sell-on clause, likely to increase it into 7 figures. Now down to personal terms. |
| News Comment | Town Survey Fans Following Portman Road Opener at 19:44:02
For some of the questions there weren't enough options when it came to answers. For example, I thought the sound level was fine, but it was muffled, but there was not option for this. And I had to answer the catering questions which I hadn't used because there was no N/A option. |

Agreed. I think if we do well, we could be approaching capacity most games, depending on number of away fans. |
| News Comment | Millwall Friendly Hit By Rail Strike at 14:20:38
The rail strike may mean some people aren't able to travel, but I'm surprised that so few tickets were sold for a London game, albeit a friendly, before the strike was announced. I've got two tickets, so will be there as I don't think South Eastern Train are striking. |

The EADT are now running with the story too. I'm not too disappointed as I think Harness looks a better and more athletic replacement at this level, probably fits better with McK's system, and is also fairly versatile. |
