Its a tough division; a good start, get a bit of momentum going; avoid long term injuries and we'll be there or there abouts for an end of season push... start poorly and we'll be doing what we have for the last couple of seasons leading up to Christmas...ie; worried!

Bullard did well for us on loan last season for sure; but needs to be looked at with a bit of trepidation.
Not only for his injury history but there are endless stories of his alleged carrying on in Hull, they'll be well happy to see the back of him and not just for the savings on his wages.
Apparently the 'transgression" was him pulling up in a cab still out of his head from the night before and when rebuked he squared up to Pearson. Which is ridiculous, in any other job you'd be sacked on the spot.
According to stories he's been put on his arse at least twice whilst being the big "I-am" in pubs round town.
I like him as a player... but if all this is true and and he starts it all again at our place.... could be more trouble than he's worth???
Gotta be careful; but I guess its all about the money; transfer and wages; versus weighing up the management possible problems... over to you Paul Jewell ;-) |

I still don't believe it - unless Keane is having that house in Woodbridge remodelled as per Mowbray's requirements....
But, IMHO, I would trade Keane in for Mowbray tomorrow.
For anyone who has been with ITFC since Robsons time; Keane is in the process of tearing the heart out of the club.
We have enough backing, we do not NEED Keane to do the job...there's plenty of better choices and Mowbray is definitely one of them. |

After listening to his all his big talk for nigh on 2 years; I sincerely hope that if we ain't doing well in the first 3 months he'll do one.
The guy seems to be ripping the club apart; no sort of man manager at all. He might be able to excuse that if we were beating all in front of us; but results are no better than before he came..
Pressure's on for him, for sure; if he fails at Ipswich he'll be damaged goods.

The thing I think is worrying is that Keane had the last few games of last season; the whole of the pre-season and the strat of this season - and yet still seems to be "finding out" whether he likes / knows players or not.
Its all a bit strange and worrying to me.
The whole "There's players that will never play for me again" comment was silly and has rebounded as either no-one know who he was talking about or everyone involved in 'that game' has played or "proved their worth in training". Rough-tough words that now sound hollow.
I hope that it all comes good - but it is starting to feel like is being made up week to wekk - I fakking hope I'm wrong ...but we'll see....

It was a stupid thing to say and he made a rod for his own back.
It led to everyone guessing as to who he was talking about and now that it looks like it was the empty threats of a hot-head.
Comments like that should be said nose to nose in the dressing room - and stay there.
I really hope he can get it together for us, but I see a roller coaster of hope and desperation rather than the start of an era. I hope he proves me wrong. |
