Nouble Out to Make an Impact at Big Club Town

ipswichtillidie I understood that he was arrested on suspicion of GBH, this carries a lengthy jail term if found guilty. Please don't trivialize a very serious offence.

Isn't there a chance Paul Taylor will spend next season at her majesty's pleasure? It could be the view about him likely to leave is that if found guilty ITFC will probably sack him? Although if not guilty then yes I agree he could be a good player for us.

Leeds Out of Ward Race
at 22:39:34

More excited by the young keeper, if he's any good could be in the first team in a couple of years. Joel Ward would be great, but if he doesn't sign he doesn't sign. Like the LOST comparision, just when you think it's sorted another twist!

Jewell Slams More Calamitous Defensive Errors
at 18:43:05

Please consider that we were crap at the back under Keane and sacked him. With the benefit of hindsight how many of us would prefer Magilton in charge? I remember the EADT editor Terry Hunt calling for him to go and at the time i thought you must know something I don't, turns out he didn't and we've just got a damn sight worse. Careful what you wish for!

Sorry that was harsh. I guess I've heard this kind of stuff over and over and was hoping for a different angle.

Bowyer Injury Leaves Town Short of Central Midfield Options at Hull
at 19:54:05

On one hand you want to see him give some of the young lads a try as The FA Cup isn't important but winning games is and a decent result up there would do wonders for the confidence. Luke Hyam has got to get a look in, i liked him when he got in last season but Jewell doesn't seem to fancy him, shame.

Bowyer Injury Leaves Town Short of Central Midfield Options at Hull

Thanks SuperFranz things are pretty desparate right now because we are scared stiff of being relegated to the old Division 3. I've been angry, frustrated and searching for anwers and actions but you're read was a refreshing change to what's going on in my head at the moment, a moment of calm amongst the madness perhaps. I like your take on things at the moment and i am coming round to the view that Jewell is cobbling a team together and it's not working but given more time. Remember Lyall kept signing all his old WHU hasbeens but slowly he got things working and took us to a new level. ok Mcgiven took over and the decline started again but when people harp on about the young players that Burley brought through, remember who signed them at 13, 14 15 years of age....Lyall. Dyer, Wright and players like Tanner (remember him before he went off the rails?) were all ready to step up at the time Burley came in. If we had a crystal ball we would know what to do but we don't so perhaps time is the answer who knows? another sacking another influx of players won't guarantee anything as we are seeing at the moment.

Priskin: I Want to Leave Town

and Town want him to leave but nobody wants him...possibly Roy Keane's worst signing? Now that would make a good poll Phil, who else qualifies for the Top 5?

Corrigan Departs Hull in Wake of Bullard Contract Termination
at 21:06:04

AmberandBlack - i've just been reading through some of your posts....you're deluded pal, you seem to hang off every word that comes out of your owner and manager's mouth and then come on here like you know everything.

Bullard is an Ipswich player so get back to your chips and gravy and leave our fans site alone. People I speak to you (ipswich fans or not) feel this was an oportunity too good to miss to get him off the wage bill and that's all. We'll all be watching the verdict with interest.

Dennis Wise broke a team mates jaw at Leicester and still successfully claimed unfair dismissal.

Enjoyed this read and in my opinion Mullet you're spot on, Controversial to offer an alternative opinion but I agree Liz Edwards doesn't represent me.

Clegg: Town Weighing Up Offer
at 16:48:19

I read it that the bid was for one of our players but the report does seem clouded in mystery. If it is for one of our it's bound to be Scotland or better still Priskin, who else is there? we've given everybody else away!

It's been said a million times before but a Centre Back & Goalkeeper please.

Reserves Draw at Needham
at 22:51:49

Colin Healy looked good as did the two centre backs for most of the match (Joe Whight played CB incidentally), the rest were pretty ordinary, keeper looked shaky, full-backs solid enough but poor going forward. Priskin reminded me of Balotelli, yes he scored but was awful, complaining about decision, poor. IMO he's got to go, didn't represent Town at all well.

Jewell, McCall, Wark, McCarthy, Osman, Hutchings & Clegg were all there. Jewell stopped for photos and took the banter well when Needham scored.

Bruce Set for Sheffield United Switch
at 18:36:08

Can't believe I'm reading all this, he was made captain by Keane, had a never say die attitude and only lost his place when he got injured against Newcastle.

You lot are so fickle it's unreal. Personally I am struggling to see what he has done so wrong, agreed he is not the standard of player we would wish for but let's get real, he's the type of player we have to settle for these days.

The current plight of Ipswich Town is a real worry for me, not the sale of Alex Bruce but the fact that we keep getting rid of seasoned Championship players and not replacing them. If he's good enough for Sheff Utd he's definately good enough for us, just look at the league tables for the last few seasons. Our defence has 1 maybe 2 Championship defenders, we need 5 or 6. Lots of pressure on the likes of Smith, O'Conner & Peters to be solid (and fit!) week in week out don't you think?

I appreciate he has to move some players on and he is in the last year of his contract but the lack of activity in the transfer markte is a worry.

Keane Set to Give New Duo Debuts Against Boro
at 17:43:16

Check out the BBC website match report....

David Wheater headed home his first goal in 18 months to rescue a point for Ipswich and interrupt Middlesbrough's march up towards the play-off places.

Town had to battle back as Daryl Murphy marked his Boro debut with a goal inside 23 seconds, the ex-Sunderland man converting David Healy's cross.

Boro rallied well, though, and were rewarded when Wheater rose to head home Gary O'Neil's pin-point cross.

Ipswich could have won it late on, but Gareth McAuley headed over the bar.
