 | News Comment | Hutchinson Focused on Euros at 16:33:54
If someone wants to spend £35m for him then great, he did ok in the prem but was lost in most games and needs much more development before he’s considered at that level. We have plenty of players in that position so I wouldn’t think it’s a huge loss if he goes. The CM is a position we really need to strengthen though, Morsey at the twilight of his career, then there is Taylor who is an average champ player at best….. if we sell Hutchinson added to the Delap funds we will go get a couple of decent CM and no9. |

 | News Comment | Huni Camp to Lodge Appeal After Wardley Defeat at 19:27:49
lol Huni’s Manager is just bitter for losing, it’s sport get over it! The ref made a decision to wave off at 9 secs because he had judged Huni was not coherent and fit to continue, spot on decision saving him from possible unnecessary injury or worse. The ref has a duty of care for both fighters, lots of KOs get called way before 10 secs if the opponent is in a bad position. Nothing will come of this, it’s heavyweight boxing nothing is over until the last bell. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We're Increasingly Competitive and Still Fighting to Achieve Incredible Goals at 22:14:58
I agree on comments ref Davis, going forward a quality player with a decent cross but hopeless at defending. Personally I feel the team would be far better balanced and tighter if Townsend played left back with Davis LW. We all know KM won’t do that though, Forrest will expose us down our left hand side and I can’t see anything but a convincing loss either way Wolves beating Southampton. By end of play tomorrow we will be 9 points adrift. Planning would for championship surely has already started, if Aston can convince the manager and better players I.e Delap to stay and give it a go at promotion next season then this squad will rip the Championship apart. Although CMs will need replacing and reinforcing as Morsey and Luango are on borrowed time now. Interesting times ahead this summer, we will see just how ambitious the owners and Ashton really are I guess. Personally I think he will keep most of the squad together and bring some smart additions in for a serious promotion push next season. I just hope the lads start playing with more freedom and less fear now and at least go down fighting. |
 | News Comment | Crystal Palace 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:41:56
From what I saw we were completely lack lustre going forward…. Jaden, Clarke just awful with final ball (jaden fluffed a golden chance too). When Hutchinson cone on just kept facing backwards then playing the ball back to the keeper. Encisco looked lively but like many kept giving the ball away. Davis looked a liability nearly gifting palace a goal, we look defeated before a ball is a kicked and completely lack confidence now. Since the Southampton defeat we have not looked the same, sadly that was when any chances of survival died. What a dreadful miserable season (3 wins) it has been, the squad that did so well last year ripped apart and now had the team will jump ship this summer leaving us in a right mess. I hope we don’t suffer from this losing habit next season like Luton have, as we could find ourselves dropping again. In hindsight I wished Leeds pipped us to 2nd spot and we lost in the playoffs. We are so out of our depth it’s painful, right now we are the worse team in the league (only team this year to not win). I honestly don’t think we will win again this season, maybe a couple of draws. Wolves picked up a useful point tonight too, they will beat us and clearly show why they are streets ahead of us. Relegation can’t come quick enough, put us out of our misery. |
 | News Comment | Wolves Striker Cunha Could Face Extended Ban Following FA Cup Red Card at 22:02:10
The minimum the ban will be is 4 games due to him being suspended for violent conduct already this season. However I would expect a longer ban given the seriousness of his actions. With this lifeline seemingly thrown to Ipswich and Leicester I just don’t see either of us taking advantage, wolves without Cunha would be beneath us so now is the time to get points on board over the next 4 plus games he is banned. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Right Time to Bring in Another Keeper at 00:15:01
Let’s face it if Muric had remained in goal we would have more chance of finishing bottom then escaping relegation, the guys been nothing short of a calamity from day 1 sadly. If we had Walton in goal all season I’d guarantee we’d be out of the drop zone now. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Southampton - Match Report at 18:12:03
Where do I start? To put this into context we have just been beaten by one of the WORST teams in the history of the Premier League! Muric once again proved to be completely incompetent at his job, the first goal I could of saved myself and the second he needs to push that out wide instead of the direct it came from (the danger zone). His contract needs ripping to shreds! Play Slicker who at least will put in an honest performance. The other end we produced nothing at all, looked out of idea completely against a dreadful defence, like many I am deflated and lost for words after that. WE ARE RELEGATED make no mistake about that. I certainly won’t waste time (logging into the the website as a member trying to scramble for a home ticket) or money anymore this season as the players have thrown the towel in some games ago and just don’t care and not up for a fight. This promotion has come too soon, we will lose many players next season and will probably do a Luton I’m afraid. The only positive is we won’t struggle to get a ticket next season in the championship, but we will lose KM and many players, and won’t win another game this season in the league. We will go down with Southampton and Leicester because we are the 3 worst teams. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-6 Manchester City - Match Report at 21:02:53
No disgrace in losing to arguably the best team in the world at home, however the performance levels dropped off after the 1st goal at an alarming rate and it could have been much more than 6 tbh. Never have I seen so many people leave 20/30 mins before the end! That’s not what we want to see. This amongst other games shows we are sadly out of our depth at this level, we have top championship players but no good premier league players and it shows. Town have have punching to still be in with an outside chance of staying up, but in reality Everton and Wolves have much better players who will over the season get the job done and avoid relegation. When we are relegated it will be a chance to keep the squad together and develop, come back stronger hopefully next season gaining promotion. But next time we come up we need to sign 3/4 quality premier league level players otherwise we will be relegated again. Whilst we are still mathematically capable of staying up they must keep fighting but relegation is probably what we need to move forward ironically, we will come back stronger I’m sure next time we are promoted. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Brighton & Hove Albion - Match Report at 22:35:19
Beaten by a much better team, they looked like Brighton had 15 players at times! The ball just kept staying with them. Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say the better team won. On to the next game, can’t see us getting anything next two games so we might drop further away now if others pick up points. |
 | News Comment | Delap: I'm Just Focused on Ipswich at 20:52:18
Can’t see him being allowed to leave in January and he has a chance to progress at Ipswich instead of sit on the bench at a bigger club (just ask Kalvin Phillips how that went for his career). That said if we do go down he will stay in the premier league and you can’t really deny him that chance, but my god he would attract a huge figure now. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Chelsea - Match Report at 22:24:20
Delap was incredible! At last we saw a decent keeper too…. Walton has just proved what we have been missing, the entire team look lifted and comfortable with him in goal. |
 | News Comment | Arsenal 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:31:53
So let’s first look at the positives - we looked so much more solid at the back which gives any team a solid base to work from, Phillips looks decent and has to start for me. Broadhead looks sharp who also deserves a starting position. Negatives- with this type of defensive setup when we get a chance it simply has to be taken, Smozdics will look back at the first chance I feel disappointed he did not make contact to direct that towards the goal. But his chance in the second half why on earth did he not shoot? The keeper was off his line in no man’s land, I gaurentee if it was an Arsenal player in the position in it’s the back of the net making it look easy. The goal is very avoidable, Wolfenden (who had a good game) has to deal with that, secondly Greaves is also caught on his heels, he should be anticipating that to hook it away so it was dreadful defending. Murics blushes where spared for what would have been another howler had the offside not have stood for the disallowed goal. Pop personally I think he has been a huge mistake of a signing, costing us around 6 points and not saving us any (maybe 1 point at Brighton you could argue). So where do we go from here? Wolves seem to have found some fight unlike us and Liecester/Southampton. Its our home form that is costing us, no wins at home by Xmas is simply unacceptable not matter what league you are in. There have been games we should have won I.e Man Utd, Liecester, Brentford, Bournemouth, Villa where we ended up losing 2 of them and drawing 3 (3 points from 15 we should have had!). Now we are finding ourselves against teams such as Arsenal and Chelsea where it’s not expected we get a single point, even Fulham away is probably another loss. January transfer window is huge, another no9 (maybe 2 of them to allow Al Hamadi out on loan) and a right back and right winger could make the difference. Either way we must starting winning some games soon, the home form must change for a start. The gap is too big between the championship and EPL sadly, and we had barely enough time to adjust from league one! I think we all know relegation is all but confirmed now, I just hope we can hold onto these players and KM to build a promotion push and confidence next season and not do a Luton. Sadly I think we will lose Delap, that will be hard to replace imo next season as there might be others gone like Davis, Hutchinson etc because they won’t want to be playing in the Championship. |
 | News Comment | Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:55:39
What a performance! The lads deserved that after last week, but the time has come for Muric to be dropped. He will cost us relegation with his costly errors, please KM give Walton a chance, he dud brilliant against Liverpool. I’m hearing rumours Delap Got booked after the match meaning a 1 match ban (not clarified yet) but if this the case surely Smodzics starts up front. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 AFC Bournemouth - Match Report at 13:00:18
Just devastating for the fans, players and management to lose in such a manner. I thought Ipswich looked so impressive in the first half and were unlucky to have that goal ruled out too. Muric no question cost us coming out leaving it easy for their player to dunk it over to be finished when all he needed to do was stay on his line then if needed time his running out narrowing down the angle as late as possible instead of acting like a headless chicken again. Muric was the reason we conceded in the 87th minute but what about Moresy and Hutchinson? They were awful, constantly giving the ball away almost resulting in goals. Cam Burgess was outstanding, how does KM pick this lot up and motivate his team? |
 | News Comment | Nottingham Forest 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:44:54
@blueboy1981 the trouble is too many people on this forum are delusional and can’t except the truth. I can’t knock the efforts from our team but this is a step too far. Those draws will come back to haunt us, todays result is no shame but if we stood firm in even a couple of those drawn games we would be out of site. I really hope results change soon, but I just can’t see it. Palace at home is a MUST WIN, a draw is no good and a loss would be disastrous. |
