Despite having 38 shots today almost all of them were from distance or looping headers. Aluko should have scored when 6yrds out and broadhead when one on one apart from that we didn't really create much.
Hutch, fridge and sarmiento we really good. Everybody else awful.
Two strikers please.

Thought we were brilliant. Sunderland had some skillful players but we matched them second half. Think we won out through quick thinking and desire in the end. We wanted the points and it showed.
Liked Travis as he tackled hard and drove forward as well. Had more pace than Morsy.
Thought Clarke had a really good game despite what some have said.
Just a couple of negatives. Had to watch on sky who seem to love every team Ipswich play. Couldn't stop talking about how good each Sunderland player was and in their opinion not a penalty at the end. Stonewall penalty. Didn't get the ball and upended the player.

Don't think we played much worse than we have most of the season
They just have better players and a lot of our games we have been quite fortunate to win.

Wrong selection, tactics, speed of play and even the commentators were wrong in their assessment. Kane thought we were putting them under sustained pressure in the first half.
It's like we have forgotten how to run with the ball, pass make a tackle, shoot and defend.
Why was our top scorer on the bench, why was our best player from Saturday on the bench. Why did we go with one up front when playing against 451 formation. Why were we playing a 19 yr old in a packed midfield.
And why are we so slow in our build up play. We break through the midfield and then pass it back to Walton. |
