Power of Motivation
at 06:21:06

Great post! The thing here is not a one size fits all, good man management requires variation in approach to each individual, some may need a kick up the bum, some may need an encouraging cuddle and some need to hear what they want to hear. The old saying goes, " different strokes for different folks".

PC has a massive job on his hands, we enter a very high risk period in the history of ITFC, i hope it pays off! One thing is for sure its gonna go well or get even messier, i keep thinking all the time, it cant get any worse! tbh i just dont know any more, after all where was the new manager bounce?

Oxfam... been a massive life threatening drought here!

As long as its not another gambling company, something with a bit of class, like the old pioneer days.

Cook: We're a Million Miles From a Good Team, Supporters Must Be Tired and Bored By Now
at 06:58:17

At least he gets it not like the last Paul, always telling us how well we played!

I guess the facts are this, you cant teach old dogs new tricks! the tricks being how to defend how to create and convert.

This current team as has been said by many needs to be replaced! Roll on next season!

Cook Linked With Grigg Reunion
at 20:08:30

of course cook knew!

And on the subject of Grigg, i say this our last 20+ a season stiker was Daryl Murphy also from Sunderland who was 30 when he signed permanently and with a far inferior goal return to grigg just under a goal every 6 Grigg is younger with a goal return of 1 in 3. I will trust Cook on this.

Phil1969... marked you down because i dont agree Wickham are superior to us! they will slip out of championship and go straight through league 1 into league 2. whilst we are an average league 1 side i believe Wickham are league 2 standard!

I also think 10 games into the new season we will be seeing a vast improvement!

2-0 up after 11 minutes against a poor side low on confidence on a poor run of form that says more about the lack of quality in the team than anything else!

We just aint good enough folks, PC has a massive job on his hands thats for sure!

We move on to Rochdale, where you can guarantee another struggle!

Cook: We Need to Be So Much Better Than That
at 08:38:54

Found this quote from David McGoldrick,

He added: “I don’t think you realise it until you’re in that sort of situation. I maybe got a bit too comfortable at Ipswich, although I loved my time there.

"We were mid-table and there were no big expectations to win every game, like there is at Sheffield United at the moment.

That was March 2019, 2 years and 3 managers later, nothing has changed!

Change is long overdue! I hope Paul Cook instigates this change ASAP.

Cook: Toto's Playing Well But We Need More From Him and Everyone Else
at 13:30:28

Good player at this level, the problem is his decision making and he makes a couple of poor decisions every game, sometimes game costing decisions as well! But great to hear PC state that more is expected of the players, lovely change to hearing PL saying how proud he was of the players and could ask for anymore!

well i can put my finger on it, its because and sadly i want to be wrong on this, we simply are not good enough to play anywhere near the level required with any consistency, we have moments as a team and the players have moments but collectively no consistency!

Town Takeover Stalls
at 08:27:10

there are several things that make up a successful club, good owners and good supporters being just 2 of the ingredients. There self proclaimed super supporters on here who have plenty to say about lack of investment from Evans, yet ironically never go to games or put a penny into the club! I wonder if the super supporters realise that investment from the fans is crucial to a clubs survival, a club is nothing without supporters who invest in the club, however small and whatever budget will allow. So these super supporters( self proclaimed) who could afford to put a little into the club, but dont and criticise Evans, demanding he spends more, i have given you a new title, you are "followers" of ITFC. I know many Norwich supporters who follow the fortunes of ITFC.

Town Takeover Stalls

Europablue... great posts especially (22:18).

Like everyone(mostly), i cannot see any on the pitch or off the pitch improvements in the last 14 years, its been a steady decline, all true! Now i will tell you another thing that is true; i wanted MM out with a passion and i am glad he left, his time to go had come! But not for one second did i think things could get any worse, but they did didnt they! And in that same vein, things could get worse if we sell to the wrong people!

I would welcome a new owner, but it has to be the right one, not just anyone as some on here would have and indeed jump at!

This falling through could certainly be a blessing!

This whole takeover thing never felt like it was the right one, it felt very much like a gamble, and i for one am glad we are not gambling with our club! Yes things need to change and for the better, not sure how so many on here were so confident that this takeover was going to be towns saviour, i for one wasnt convinced.
