As a shareholder we sold our club to Mr Evans. It was either sell or fold! So in simple terms he saved our club, now look at portsmouth, Charlton, coventry, Leyton Orient. We were bloody lucky not to get an owner like them.
It's clear mr evans didnt get so rich by not following a business plan. Well ITFC has one and they are following it. Maybe season ticket sales will open there eyes, but unless you can find someone to dip there hand in the till each year to 7 million+ plus the historic debt then he is here to stay.
So move on...
MM might have been held back by the business plan so wonder what he could have done with money. Look at the whole picture not the small part. And to the people who go on about the old days we'll time has moved on. We aren't big and we are not rich so get used to it. |

If as some have put it "I'm talking s**t. I'm not a MM in or out person, but just pointing out it's not all his fault, Mr Evans has a lot to answer for and by his inaction he does not care as the debt is being used to reduce the tax bill.
So maybe point more of a finger at the owner would also be useful, the set up does not work and the club needs to restructure.
Why did I say watch out for you wish for, we'll look what happened to Wolves, Bolton, Sheffield united, even Norwich all big clubs who went down and even being Ipswich doesn't mean we would bounce right back.
The game we held them for most of the game, but a lack of supply to the front is the issue, going back does not work. I love the fact people say get burley back, just remind me why we fired him? How good has he been since? Who would want to come to a club with no budget and we are no longer a big club.
MM like everyone has a contract like us all, so would you leave your job for free? No so stop moaning and support the club.the club is only the important thing, but rather than support you don't renew and complain.
The truth about our club is the owner does not care and unless things change this will happen with whoever is in charge, no money means loan players who don't care.
Always looking on the brightside at least Norwich who spent money screwed it up. |

We held them for 3/4 of the game. There squad cost millions and ours pence.
Maybe you mm haters are going after half the issue.
It's Evans who has held us back, how many of MM players did we sign fully in January...Strikers?
In Mm defence he is testing players to see who stays or gets dumped.
Maybe Sunderland with more money will take him away, but unlike burley it would appear he hasn't lost the dressing room.
So watch out for what you wish for....

The squad are all professionals and they should try 100% whatever position they are told to play in. But it looks like most of them want to take the money and not bother with the effort.

I'm not a McCarthy in or out person, but this result says everything about ITFC. The first team can just about hold their own in the league but our reserve team is not good enough. Hence this result was a shot across the bows of the owner to say back us or see us get worse.
9 changes is a lot but they are all professional players and should give 100% but it is clear the whole squad needs a refresh. The only person who controls the money is Evans and we have not signed anyone for decent money for a while so the blame is not !00% Mick, Evans is clearly an issue here and Mick has worked with his hands tied. The question is does Evans mind if we lose more money to offset the profit to the debt owed by the club?
My thoughts are Mick is walking in the summer and the truth is coming out, but you look at other clubs and wonder if it is for the best. |

I backed ME when he came to the club and voted for the take over. He has splashed the cash, and also picked some bloody awful people to come into the club. Keane, clegg....
I'm slightly now confused what ME is looking for with our club. He can see numbers of supporters are getting lower, the style of play is getting worse, loan players seem to not care and we havent used any youngesters recently and so what is his outlook on life?why pay for the training ground and the youngesters if we dont use them..
It must be that he is using the club as a tax reducer or something...and he doesnt really care what happens.
I think Jewell is out of his league, i think the players are not behind him and his training staff must be rubbish. Look at Cardiff a well trained, well managed team and everyone knew what to do and where they should be.. whilst going forward we had them on the back foot but instead we went for a draw and we blew it... the keeper was good at watford and you dont become rubbish overnight. My view is that the club is rotten to the core and only a major change is going to get us out of it. ME needs to come out in the public eye and state what he actually wants, he has to show leadership and get the right people in to do the job. If he doesnt do that then this club is going one way only... DOWN.... in more ways than one. |

We need a leader who will take control. Delaney is not a leader and he does ok when he has someone with brains next to him. Our back four yesterday were all at fault. We looked like a team beaten even before kick off. I hope Jewell has it in him to turn it around, but the clocks ticking and not much improvement has been seen so far. Is our scouting set up good enough? and could this be the problem.. |

It's clear to see that the situation at our club is not good. Maybe it comes from the top or the manager or the players, but anyone who went to the game on Saturday can tell you that whilst we were attacking we looked more likely to get something, but as soon as the changes were made we just screwed up.
I backed Keane and everyone else before them, but how long do we have to put up with this.......................? The formation and players have let in to many goals and Wrighty did a good job in goal and never stopped shouting at the players but it's PJ team and his formations and can anyone on here really say that we Peterborough should be better than us in a game, Doncaster that well known quality side.... my point is that at times you need to get a grip and PJ needs to get a grip or get a ticket out of town. I have to say Norwich who have had less money than us, but bigger crowds have proven what can be done. who remembers the last local derby...... enough said! |

Sorry heard to many apologises. Norwich, Southampton, Peterborough. There is a massive problem and it needs fixing. Either the scouting reports are rubbish, or it's the man management, formations, team etc....
The players seem to not have any idea what the game plan is and who is supposed to do what. My view change captain to the one with the biggest mouth and tell him to keep having a go at the team and actually go for it. Play attacking football as we may get hammered but look like we may get a result rather than roll over and die....
Mr Evans... think it maybe time to change Clegg as he must be the problem at getting players in or is it down to you not wanting to splash the cash? |
