I use an Edwin Jagger DE89 and Edwin Jagger shaving soap. I'd never go back to cartridge razors and I'd recommend a safety razor to anyone. The initial outlay is more expensive but I reckon I spend no more than 3 or 4 quid a year on blades.
Fruit machines! Wont be the same hitting a jackpot and getting a receipt saying you've got £10 credit in your paypal account.
I think cash just gives you a bit more independence. Cards can get rejected, stop working, bank accounts can get temporary suspensions. Not to sound too 'tin foil hat' but if the bank wants to stop you spending your money, they could. With cash, nobody can stop you spending it, unless shops stop accepting cash of course.

It's also many small things that would be affected like car boot sales, village fetes etc.
I went in it a few times early 2000's. I walked underneath it as well a few times (at the join between the bridge and legs) to do some checks. I was working for a civil engineering company that looked after the A14 at the time. It's actually really big inside. You could drive a bus through it! It's also actually two completely separate bridges.
