 | News Comment | Lambert: Dyer Knows the Club Really Well at 12:48:21
What doesn't make sense is that some of the justification I've seen is about Dyer being a highly qualified coach to UEFA a standard, despite the fact Nash is far more qualified, having the top UEFA Pro standard as well as couple of other qualifications that Dyer doesn't. I note that O'Neill said he's going to be doing coaching with the PDP programme as well, which is basically schoolkids mostly. Now with Lambert effectively saying that he doesn't need someone to watch the opposition as he is doing it himself, it starts to smell like Nash is being managed out. Very strange situation for a highly qualified coach to be pushed out, especially one who has been on the club's payroll for the last 18 years, first as a player, than as a coach. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Bialkowski Enquiries at 18:21:02
O'Neil may as well as saved himself the breath and just said how it is, they're actively trying to manage Bart ou. That's the only reason they're speaking of interest, how often does the club comment on interest in players normally. They're doing it for a reason. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Has Sympathy With Town Players Facing Relegation Pay Cut at 10:10:58
QUOTE The year is 2084 and mick McCarthy is STILL being mentioned in relation to our club.. Nobody forced him to have a dig, but I'm sure the Mick fanboys who want to be bored and sleep every week rather than sing and dance in the stands and see something exciting, will use it to attack their own fans once more. The guy is bitter pure and simple and if we get relegated he will be delighted and use it to have a dig at us forever more. You can start to see why him and Roy Keane had that massive argument at the World Cup, both of them have massive egos. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Has Sympathy With Town Players Facing Relegation Pay Cut at 10:07:18
So apparently he doesn't want to give two fingers to his critics and is not bitter but he turns around and says stuff like this. "The people who booed I say, well, sometimes you get what you deserve. Be careful what you wish for." "It summed it up for me when Joe Garner got the equaliser against Wigan and I texted him to say, ‘Well done, bet that pleased you today. “Well, they seem to enjoy it. There were 23,000 there the other night [at the Reading match], singing and dancing, so you know…” Completely unprofessional and is losing any respect I still had for him by carrying on the way he does, maybe he should stop focusing on the past and instead focus on filling the Republic of Ireland international team with actual people from Republic of Ireland instead of trying to find loads without any real connection to the country? |
 | News Comment | Wilder Reveals New Blades Bid for Waghorn at 19:52:19
I assume it's designed to perhaps alert Waghorn to the fact to try and unsettle him, especially if the blunts are aware he might be interested in a move, in the hope it will lower the price when the player asks to go, if he does. |
 | News Comment | Goteni Signing Confirmed at 18:12:35
Kodjia was playing for a second tier team that had just been promoted to the first tier in France when he was sold in the summer. Trying to hoodwink the fans that a fifth tier player is somehow comparable with a player who was in a promoted team from the second tier seems to be an attempt to take advantage of the fact most fans don't know about French football. Less spin more honesty please. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Confirms Goteni Signing at 18:29:34
“I think your man that went to Bristol City [Jonathan Kodjia] was playing fairly low level and they sold him for £14 million!” What a load of crap. he joined from Angers who had just been promoted to the French top division when he left! |
 | News Comment | Smith Close to Colorado Switch at 13:24:02
So we're going to replace another established player with a loanee. What with all the contracted players being out of contract at the end of the season and the loanees returning we'll hardly have a squad... |
 | News Comment | Bart: Burnley Move Was Really Close at 10:28:37
I'm confused, before the transfer deadline Bart said he had no desire to go and the club said there were no bids, now we hear the opposite. Glad to see the club hold the fans in such high regard and are open with them. |

 | News Comment | Ex-Blue Oar Not Ruling Out Return to England at 14:13:32
Looking at all of the votes on here, it would seem that some people believe that dishonesty is an admirable trait in a player and are painting a dishonest player as a martyr. The fact is Oar showed no respect at all to our club and only cares about himself and says whatever he wants to portray himself in the best possible light. We do not need characters like him at PR, the fact he was not honest with the club, the fans or the manager suggests he was a bad apple and we are lucky we got rid. |
 | News Comment | Ex-Blue Oar Not Ruling Out Return to England at 10:12:51
Well if nothing else, at least Mick says it like it is and when he gives his opinion he sticks to it, unlike Oar who flips backwards and forwards between reasons for leaving every other week. Better off without him. |
 | News Comment | Town Topic: The Greatest Town Hat-Tricks at 12:24:57
I don't know what is so crazy about Neil Gregory scoring a hat-trick, the fact how crap he was and someone like that could ever score two in a game let alone a hat-trick or how a defence could be so bad to allow it. On a more serious note, since I've only been going since 1994 because of my relatively young years compared to some on here, I have to mention Jim's in the Play-Off's against Bolton, Alex Mathie's against that lot from up the road and Stewart's against Southampton. |
 | News Comment | Town Given Initial 5,500 Allocation for Manchester United Tie at 12:15:32
Lots of people moaning about £45 but nobody moaning about €40? It's very clever of the club to discount the season ticket holders and club members not only does it reward the most loyal supporters who contribute the most to the club, it also allows us to see ho on TWTD is one of those fans, by the price they moan about. You know there are other games you can go to that are a lot cheaper to watch your team so why the fuss? |
