No matter what you say, the words you write suggest you very much do bear a grudge. |

I'm not defending that, but some of the comments went way too far. |

The bitterness from some of our fans about him staggers me. We're better than that. So far this season we have really missed having a player like Omari and he was clearly too good for this league. I don't agree with how he went about his move but I'm not bitter. Some of the comments on his Instagram post to Town fans were disgusting and no surprise that he disabled comments on it after the personal abuse he got. Some of our so called supporters need to give their head a wobble. [Post edited 24 Aug 16:03]

You're obsessed with them. I couldn't give a flying duck, we have far bigger problems than them. |

To early for that talk, come back in October. |
 | Forum Reply | Why is there no urgency at the end here? at 16:53 23 Aug 2025
We look like a team who has barely won a match for a year. This was always my biggest worry after last season, winning is a habit, but also not winning can also become one and we look like we have forgotten how to win. |

I would imagine now we have more money, we can offer him a greater, lets call it 'incentive' to sign. |

He was well known to have an injury at the end of last season. He was out for most of February and March with a calf injury and when he came back from that injury, by the time he was able to play again he then sustained a knee injury that meant he missed the end of the season. He hasn't played a competitive game since January and also has previous history with knee injuries that ruled him out for a lot of 2022-2023 so I think the medical may have turned up something. He does seem quite injury prone. I would say what happened is that since Como would only accept an offer that involved a requirement to buy him if we got promoted, the club bailed out because of the level of risk. If it was an option to buy or a straight loan, it might have been a bit of a different story. [Post edited 17 Aug 23:35]

 | Forum Reply | Seems an obvious solution.... at 22:38 17 Aug 2025
I said this when he left saying that him leaving would unsettle the team and he should be kept around in some shape or other as the players know the way he plays and have built a defensive unit together. I got huge amounts of downvotes saying that he was nowhere near good enough and that he was one of the weak links in the team and each time I brought it up I got ridiculed. So a lot of people on this board will need to eat humble pie as well. |

I couldn't see it that well as I am closer to Sir Alf's stand, but when Szmodics was put through, why did he try and cut inside rather than just running in a straight line? All he had to do was keep running and if someone took him out they would have been sent off. His couple of sidesteps to move nearer the centre of the pitch allowed the centre half to intercept. Did he have a bad first touch? Agree RE: Chaplin. |

He never said that, that was something those on TWTD kept saying, but none of them were able to provide any evidence of him saying it. |

May have been, I know he tried it later and it came off but the earlier one looked completely aimless. |
 | Forum Reply | Chaplin kick for territory at 17:10 17 Aug 2025
This wasn't a kick to a player though, the ball landed nowhere near where any of our players were, there was nobody within 15 yards of it. It almost looked like a boot out of frustration. |
 | Forum Thread | Chaplin kick for territory at 17:07 17 Aug 2025
Can someone explain to me why in the second half Chaplin kicked a free kick as hard as he could aimlessly into the opposite corner of the pitch. Was there something I missed when he was giving the ball back for somthing? |

If you think that he didn't have any good games last year, you clearly saw less games than I did. His stats in terms of getting the team up the pitch were right up there in the top sector of that metric for the entire league, let alone us and when he didn't play we certainly missed that. I honestly think that in a better side with better teammates around him, he would show more. |

The mental gymnastics that people do about players to try and justify their views really makes me laugh at times on here. A player is the bees knees and a 'cheat code' at this level one moment, and the moment he does something they don't like suddenly he's actually over-rated, bang average and nothing special just because they are leaving and thus they can't bear to admit actually we'll be worse without them. |
 | Forum Reply | Morsy Speaks at 13:10 15 Aug 2025
I think he actually makes some good points and I agree with a lot of what he is saying and it he makes a lot of sense. My issue is not about with what he is said, it's about the fact that I don't think it's appropriate for a former skipper to be airing those views publicly at this point. If a senior colleague of mine left my employer and then same person started to offer commentary in public about what was going on in the company after they left just a few weeks later, there's no way that the company would be happy with that. I just don't think it's helpful for the club right now, especially when we're in the process of embedding in a new skipper. We have enough to deal with right now, we don't need all the extra noise from a club harmony perspective. We need to shut the noise out and come together as this season is vital for us. Personally I think he should have kept his mouth shut. Commentary like this from an ex player who let the club is not helpful, especially considering the things that were being reported leading up to Morsy moving on. I don't see how him speaking helps the club. I doubt the club are impressed by him speaking up like this. He was the skipper and had a lot influence on the dressing room but now he has moved on.
