And if anything it makes the possible transfer fee lower.

As you imply, there's no way he stays if he wants to go. That's a big "if" of course.

A big deal imo

"Morsy, Broadhead and Hutchinson the obvious old favourites to go, which would remove a huge chunk of quality and experience."

Second clause spot on, and still an understatement buh.

Massively disappointing if true

Fantastic player, especially as one of the changes on the 60/65 mark. Him and Hutchinson (definitely maybe who knows) leving leaves a big skill hole. Sure, we can fill it, but doubt it'll be some kind of huge improvement. Possibly the opposite, but ho hum.

He was also the best Paul :)

I say best, maybe 'the least bad' would be more accurate.

Likewise Moorers. I don't think "yeh right" when talking about Cook, not in the same way as literally every other MEG manager bar pre-endgame McCarthy.

Aye, there are some black marks - how he went about the "demolition" and some odd player judgement e.g. - but as you say, he suddenly found himself in at the deep end with the new ownership and investment, and his dad dying probably affected his judgement too.

And yeh I agree, if there aren't fitness concerns I'd love him to be here next season.

I can't help the odd face palm and groan but slinging vitriol at your own players is so tedious. As you say, the goalie bears the brunt even when the team's collective defending invites relentless pressure.

Saying that, he was guilty of mentally bad hospital passes when he could've/should've chucked out the manual for a moment and passed long. Maybe he simply overestimates the skills of his teammates... indeed, maybe the success route for the lad is to sign for a top team as number two. But who'd risk it?

Ignore that last point actually, he also got robbed often trying to dribble it out didn't he. At Burnley too. Whoops.

Tis possibly a big "if" though.

I was highly sceptical after watching his end of season howlers for Burnley but some of the stick he got was silly and so counterproductive, as it always is.

Whatever he ends up doing (and he has the raw ability to be absolute world class) I can't see it happening at ITFC.

That's not a reason he shouldn't be a dead cert on the team sheet.

We'll see how his legs are next season, if he's here. I don't agree he was caught out "a lot" but this depends on one's interpretation of " a lot" I guess. And you don't need reminding that was in the Premiership, and the gulf is fackin vast.

I know this isn't the question
at 12:13 8 Jul 2025

Neither.

Cajuste is a class act when fit, but we can't be messing around with our main CMs on big wages being injury prone. And as much as I like Downes, I'd be after someone even better.

Who was the oppo, how many injuries were there, what were the game turnaround times, etc.etc. etc.

I'm not disagreeing with the underlying point btw, but you get my... er, point... innit.

Muric has a very high ceiling. I felt sorry for him more than anything. But one can't ignore the total lack of communication with his team mates.

I think that's over-egging it a little

Agreed, the fan stick was (and always is) counter productive. And bizarre tbh. But his howlers were generally no one's fault but his own, and as much to do with poor (and slow) decision making as confidence. Clearly not helped by our midfield and defence being swarmed by better opposition. But sometimes you have to ignore the manual. The thing that bemused me most was how unvocal he was last season.

He's undeniably a very good keeper with bags of potential, but it's hard to see a way back for him at ITFC.

We'll probably sell him at cut price to a Champ rival
at 09:55 8 Jul 2025

And he'll have two monster games against us including doing a Cruyff Turn in his six yard box before banging a Pirloesque long ball and getting an assist.

It's the Ipswich way, arf.

A case in point being the UK gov currently pushing through law change with no safeguards or regulation for the benefit of massive US tech corps, and to the detriment of the only reason these islands have any semblance of soft power left in the world, our creative industries. Peter Kyle was a shining example once upon a time but nowadays is not much more than a shill, and a lying one to boot.

In "developing nations" our media calls it corruption.

Keanan Bennetts!

Shudder.

A contender for worst player in a Town shirt since Fish. And I'm not comparing Bennetts to the younger Fish when he was decent, obviously.

Bennetts looked like he could play football until he had to pass or shoot. Or dribble past an opponent.

Bennett out of Commando would probably have been more effective. Especialy wearing that ridiculous chainmail vest.
