Hirst was unlucky he had a player like Delap ahead of him. He offers so much more than goals to the team. The way he links up with our forwards means he creates a lot. At Championship level that's gold. We can't think any further ahead than that, given that some teams struggle after relegation. Next season is crucial, and imo for success we need consistency: the likes of Hirst, Chaplin and Szmondics will offer so much versus your Coventrys, Hulls etc |
