McGreal Rejoins Town in Coaching Role
Likely McGreal will be involved with coaching at many levels. However the timing means saying that he's come in to help Cook out would undermine the manager.... just a (rather sceptical) thought.
Peskett to Undergo ACL Surgery
So fortunate that we have given our star female players professional contracts, or this might have been the end of her ITFC career. Now, with full time physio and no distractions we can hopefully see her back in 12 months, maybe less...
Evans: Nothing to Fear From Division's Top Sides
It's such a nice surprise to see Bailey Clements playing, and doing well, especially after we all feared for young players' opportunities with the new owners and 19 signed. Still, El Miz, Woolfy and Clements means we have the basis of a good side going forward 5 years as well as today.
Blues Host Oldham Aiming to End Home FA Cup Hoodoo
Cook was clear on his priorities: League, FAC, LC, PJT. He should therefore play a stronger eleven v Oldham (maybe rest 4 or 5) and then rest pretty much all 1st teamers on Tuesday.
Edwards: The FA Cup Excites Me a Lot
Traditionally when we've got promoted, we have usually had a good run in one of the cups, so let's just be sensible, rest those who need rest, and play the strongest team otherwise/
Bonner: Holy's a Brilliant Character
Holy in goal on Saturday v Oldham? Would be a good reward for him. Hiowever, understandable if Hladky needs some game time. Hopefully we'll see a fairly strong XI on the field, given there's another cup game on Tuesday.
Blues Visit Wycombe Aiming to Bounce Back
I think it says it all when the spine of our team for years is now lower half of league 2. We were stale 3 years ago, and only papered over the cracks until the takeover and Cook's clear out. Anyone who has been to a game can see the improvement, yet as we improve, so do the others. This season is a bonus if we go up. Playoffs would be solid, but the football is just miles better.
As for tonight... really want us to beat Wycombe, they barely deserved promotion on Pandemic points, and we were robbed of 2 points back when we were flying high: they were so lucky. Time for that luck to change.
U18s in FA Youth Cup Action
Awesome work, lads. On to round 2. It feels like , after last season, Ipswich will be a cup side again, at all levels.
