I realise Portman Road is probably undergoing a lot more work than at Kenilworth Road, but watching this makes me wonder how the heck Luton managed to get everything done and where they managed to squeeze it all in. |
 | News Comment | Hladky Joins Burnley at 10:21:13
Czech media suggests that it was hinted (I'm trying to couch this as vaguely as I can) to Hladký that Trafford was on his way. It may just be that Burnley's offer was the only one on the table, but he does seem to have been looking for a place where'd he'd be number one (he was apparently very keen on Baník Ostrava until they told him he would have to fight for his place). Oh, and they also say that Ipswich have been unfairly maligned in the Czech Republic for seemingly dumping a Czech footballer so cavalierly (after reportedly offering him a very low wage to stay) because, in all honesty, he probably wasn't good enough for the PL. |

AlpineBlue, I don't understand your logic (I confess to being a little slow these days). Either way, Hull will end up with some 12.5 million, won't they? |
 | News Comment | Philogene Personal Terms Agreed But Villa Still Keen at 13:45:57
He (or his agent) sounds as decisive as Hassan Kachloul (the guy who said he was excited to ITFC then had a last-minute change of mind and went to Villa). And that went really well for the player... Perhaps Philogene should take that as a warning ;-) |

We have to fend for ourselves, Kiwiblue. Here in the Czech Republic, I have to sign up to Canal+ Sport, which actually works out cheaper than TownTV, so there's that... |
 | News Comment | Austria Trip and Fortuna at Portman Road in Pre-Season at 03:20:00
Wot no Lazio? After seeing Seleni's Wikipedia page, I was going to say perhaps it's a good thing that friendly will never be, but perhaps they should update it (the Italian page clarifies that he was eventually cleared of all abuse). |

That window line passing horizontally through through the centre of the Umbro logo is rather unfortunate. While the resulting symbol (diamond with a line through it) doesn't mean anything to a Brit, when ITFC make it back into Europe, many Europeans coming to Portman Road will find three female, erm, "bits" hilarious. |
