Delap Signing Confirmed
at 12:28:26

VitalSigns As far as I know the buy back clause would only come into play if we wanted to sell him. If Utd. come in for him at 50 million next season, then City can match that minus the sell on percentage. If the player is happy here and we don't want to sell, Man City can't just buy him.

Philogene 'Set to Rejoin Villa'
at 15:57:01

Hull will be asking Villa which of their academy prospects they can buy and sell back to them a year later for a huge mark up. Buy back clauses should also be banned. If you want the player loan him out, if not sell him.

Town 'Remain Favourites' to Sign Philogene
at 11:12:46

I think the angle of Philogene going to Turkey is that Hull are trying to signal to either the player or his agent, or Aston Villa, that Hull own the contract and can keep him if they want too.

El Mizouni Completes Oxford Move
at 20:36:24

It's a shame he never got a chance in League One. Premier League is a tad above his level. Good luck to him. I'm impressed that we're actually getting fees for our surplus players, rather than just cancelling contracts.

Town Agree Fee For Manchester City Striker Delap
at 17:45:32

churchmans81 The difference is that we are paying decent fees and not vultures circling like Charlton. Newcastle were fine, they paid decent fees.
It just goes to show, one season in the Championship and suddenly we're buying all the players we couldn't compete for last season.

Town Agree Fee For Manchester City Striker Delap
at 16:03:06

He'll be a really great signing. Sell on of 20% plus buyback seems very steep considering the price. If they are going to have all that, then we should pay based on milestones too. None of these players are proven Premier League players, so the price really should reflect that. I back KM to pick players that he feels will be top Prem players. I'm not being negative about the business we are doing, it just sounds like the mafia to me. They take all of the smaller clubs most promising players send them out on loan for years to similar sized clubs then sell them with a 20 sell on clause and a buyback option. The only value they add is the coaching. That's why I'd love to see if with KM and MA and the owners, maybe we could muscle in on them just a little bit. We probably have to get used to selling our players like Brighton have been doing.

Everton Late Move For Philogene - Reports
at 10:24:57

It's one thing to be in a bidding war, but clubs can't agree to a fee then suddenly turn around and say the price went up. You agree a fee, it should be binding. I'm sure it isn't legally binding, but who would do business with someone like that. There should be some reasonable framework around that dictated by the Premier League.

Delap at Town But Move Not Close
at 10:51:49

wedgieblue So you don't support McKenna either? Personally, I see someone considering their options and still choosing us to be the bigger compliment. In the case of Delap, he has no affiliation with ITFC, so why would he not consider all of his options?

at 07:47:20

He has no affiliation with ITFC, so there is nothing wrong with him weighing up his options. If he ultimately chooses us then great, if not then nevermind.
If he does sign though, it will be another statement signing like both of the previous signings were in their own way. Recruitment like this builds momentum and attracts great players to the project.

Town Reveal New Kits
at 11:50:29

I like the home kit more than last season's, but I won't bother with it because I still really like the home kit from the League One promotion season. I would be tempted by the away kit, but I really like the Orange one from last season. Kits are very expensive and there is absolutely no need for new ones if the old ones still fit. I hope people who will buy them will enjoy them!
