Are expecting more transfers?
at 09:13 22 Aug 2020

Are we happy with our squad as it is? Our are we expecting any new arrivals before the window closes?

Goalies sorted
Full backs sorted
Center backs sorted, though in a perfect world I would have sold both Wilson and Nsiala, maybe reqruited Pennington. Hopefully big Toto recovers from his erratic form and acts like a new signing. Chambers isn’t getting younger.
Central mids sorted. Hopefully Idris will break into the side from the start, Skuse only a bit player.
Left wingers sorted. Edwards needs to play on the left, when selected. Will drift in, and leave room for the full back. Is Ward fit enough? Others like Sears and Dobra could fill the role as well.
Right wingers needed. We can’t rely on Lankester as he’s been away to long. We need cover, and I don’t want to se us wasting Idris, Bishop, Edwards as backup, but the cap might make it the only option for us.
Strikers sorted. Would understand it if Norwood left because of his salary. But a replacement has to get in before a loan deal/sale can be done. Would be great to see the impact of a fullt fit Norwood in L1!

The cap limits our options, so we need to move some players on. Might we see some high earners move on and not being replaced? By the contract extentions made this summer, I really don’t see who.

Rename Portman Road to Old Folks Home
at 21:40 10 Aug 2020

By the age of the players linked and average age of our supoorters, we should rename Portman Road to Old Folks Home.

Experience doesn’t have to be mid 30’s. Would like to see us try and get in players who would stay for more than one year. The key to success would be consistency and build in-game relations.

Does our management team include a Sports psychologist?
at 16:14 5 Aug 2019

Must be an great investment and much needed for our beloved club.

The skills are needed to help our long term injured players cope during the recovery phase and return to matchday squad. keeping players focused on performance, rather the growing too big headed (Cotter and Crowe). And last but not least, those who are out of form, to find their way back (e.g. Bialkowski, Jackson and Toto (early)).

Possible free transfers
at 13:07 5 Aug 2019

We can all see that we’re short in defence and that we need a backup striker. The latter until Sears returns from injury.

I guess we might wait until players who are being seen as
surplus to requirements from Championship and Premier League are made available. And that Evans is hoping we can get some quality in on free or very cheap.

Of those who are still available on a free
Left back:
Danny Lafferty (Relased by Sheffield U this summer)
Stephen Hendrie (Released by West Ham, spent last season on loan at Southend)
Right back:
Adam Matthews (Released by Sunderland after being playing 23 games last season)

Striker:
Kaylen Hinds (Former Arsenal academy product, who went to Wolfsburg to furter his development. Hasn’t been playing for Wolfsburg, but worth a trail)
Kyle Lafferty: (Released by Rangers, still only and 31, and might be willing to sign a short term deal until January)
Frazier Campbell: (Released by Hull, only 31, and may receive offers from Championship)

Osman's attack on Hurst
at 11:35 16 Aug 2018

Although I'm fully behind Hurst and his team, I must say that I have to partly agree with Osman.

Hurst is hanging his players by the neck in his interviews after our early exit from the League Cup. But it's his team now, as he has made 9 signings, and not all of the players he inheriated is dreadful. It's also his responsibility to make sure that the players have understood and follows his instructions during the match. He's fully able to call the players who's not doing their jobb, and adjust their wrong doings during the match.

It's not great to slate the team like he did to the press. I would prefer a more sofisticated feedback to the press, and vented his frustrations in the changing room. I do understand that it's hard, but as he's building a entirely new team, it will take some time for the team to click.

It's important that the management are holding their heads up high and shows some calmness in order to generate an environment of trust. Players will react differently to the kind of feedback he's given, and I guess younger and players new at this level would need more time, and a different approach to believe and trust their own abilities.

We clearly have made some good signing, but I would like to see Hurst show more patience with his team than us supporters.

I might be wrong - This could be a well tought through action from Hurst.
