 | News Comment | Hutchinson Travelling to Forest For Medical at 11:45:23
A decent footballer but one who always seemed to lack the passion of other players, summed up by his emotionless backflips whenever he scored. Give me Chaplin, Burns, Broadhead or Harry Clarke any day of the week. Hopefully, some of this money will be used to allow KmcK to bring in some players at the top of his wish list. |
 | News Comment | Hirst: Handball is a Handball at 07:25:51
Several players challenged for the ball but only one of them had his hands up above his head. Whether the contact was deliberate or not is irrelevant. |
 | News Comment | McKenna on Philogene, Cajuste and Hutchinson at 23:40:23
I'm a bit confused as to why Cajuste didn't have a proper pre-season with Napoli. I know he was unlikely to play for them this season, but as one of their players surely he has been training with them? |
 | News Comment | Ajax 'Putting Pressure on Akpom to Join Birmingham' at 22:24:38
To all those calling on Town to just pay up and buy him, have you considered that it might be the player and his agent who prefer the season-long loan with a permanent deal if we get promoted? That gives the player a route out of the club if we fail to go up this season. Ajax would clearly prefer to sell now as they'd get their money sooner. |
 | News Comment | Rovers Return to Town With New Manager and New Hope at 14:40:55
Thanks for the detailed insight into our opponents. It might also be worth a mention that we beat Bristol Rovers after a replay on our way to lifting the FA Cup in 1978. In that season, Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool to the title and we finished just above the relegation zone in the old First Division - could history repeat itself? |
 | News Comment | TWTD, Blue Monday and Alex Griffin Football Content Awards Finalists at 10:31:59
Alex is a local lad too young to remember any of Town's previous successful years and yet he is a devoted fan who travelled to virtually all away games during our time in League One. I'd say that makes him the complete opposite of a glory hunter. For those of us who live a long way from Suffolk and struggle to get to many games a season, it's nice to watch his videos and get a taste of the atmosphere around and inside Portman Road. My kids love his videos too so he gets my vote. |
 | News Comment | Philogene and Town 'In Advanced Talks' at 11:31:28
@Help: I suspect that if anyone signs today, it will be kept under wraps until tomorrow's kit launch. Not that that's stopping me from checking every now and again! |
 | News Comment | Breitenreiter: Changes But We Have to Remain Professional at 20:32:37
Imagine if the boot were on the other foot and we had to rely on Norwich winning at Leeds to give us a chance of promotion. And then hearing that Norwich were changing their keeper and giving a few other fringe players a game! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Stoke Will Be a Threat This Year at 20:57:10
Regardless of the strength of the players that Stoke have brought in, it should be beneficial for us to play them early in the season before they have had a chance to gel (apologies for the cliché). |
 | News Comment | Stevenage Eyeing Baggott Loan at 16:04:12
Celina can be wonderful to watch but is a luxury player and I can't see him fitting back into this Town side. When he didn't return to us last summer, I said that it would give Chaplin a chance to make that spot in the team his own and I've been feeling rather smug about that ever since. That goal against Crewe though... |
