Well, I'm OK with all this. How awesome it was to be back up - but clearly things need to be learnt and changed.
Lots of positive things for the club and I can't wait to see what changes occur between now and the start of the next season. My expectations were low this season; next one I don't think I'll be so laid back about it.

THIS is exactly why the thought of only being here in the PL for this season doesn't bother me too much. We have soo much good going for the club right now - be it investments, quality staff, infrastructure at PR and now of course the first class training facilities.
We are going places - it may not be immediately, but just think back 3 or 4 years ago. Really, we're flying. |

So, let's be honest - I think our fate has been sealed, and quite honestly I'm OK with it. Take a look at our ground, the on-going plans for the training facilities, the upgrades and money (in terms of unfamiliar high sky figures) that we've found ourselves playing with this season. It has been quite incredible.
As I said from the start of this season, I had very little to none expectations - but I do think the club have exceeded in other areas, include those noted above. I'm not terribly saddened about our pending relegation - just hope that we can maintain, rebuild and put up a good fight in the Championship.
Sadly, this is the Ipswich way; it would be too easy otherwise, right? |

Look, let's not forget where we were three seasons ago.
But we do need to look forward, and we do need some momentum. Today - and results prior - are not how we get there.
Amazing to see how the club as a business has levelled up whilst in the PL, but it's going to take a proper fight now to stay here.

Not the biggest of confidence booster so far this season.
I said it at the end of the last season and it remains the case: I have no expectations of us to set fires in the PL this season, and so far we lack the spark - but I'm just glad we're here.
Make it or not we have some cracking investment on and off the pitch and our club has elevated to a place we've not witnessed for generations. Up or down, we follow the Town.
