 | News Comment | Head of Analysis Leaves Town at 13:46:21
Read ‘How to win the Premier League’ by the Liverpool anaylyst Ian Graham if you want to understand this role. Quite amusing how many times they get overruled by emotion and managers apparently having an ‘eye’ for a player for it to backfire! |
 | News Comment | Keane: I Wasn't Looking For a Fight at 13:46:44
Had to move out of the bottom of the West Stand, some of the weirdest ‘fans’ ever. Went and sat down there a few weeks ago and was exactly the same. They’re people from Pettaugh, Charsfield and Monk Soham, you know the sort. :-) |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton - Match Report at 07:17:06
Actually thought in large spells we played well, having more of last season’s team on the pitch made some of the play and patterns look more natural, escpecially the move from Omari to Burns to Jack Clarke. The first goal was a combination of errors - O’Shea should have headed out for a corner not back into the danger zone, where Burns dealt with it poorly. O’Shea clearly uncomfortable in that position, Woolfy kept waving him forward but he stayed parallel and then didn’t present as an option. Jack Clarke far too lightweight as a starter, a good luxury outlet when teams are tiring but we need Smodzics as a strong battler from the start. Unpopular opinion -Leif Davis is struggling to adapt. Jack Harrison terrorised him for most of the match. |

In a weird twist of fate and silly rules, Leicester never again return to the premier league to face their points deduction. |
 | News Comment | Stevenage Eyeing Baggott Loan at 11:32:13
I think we should consider a transfer abroad, league one can’t be the best training ground for a player we hope to reach upper championship/prem levels. Maybe a spell in Germany? |

@algarveblue - can you imagine the project management meeting where they said ‘we must get town tv live for the Preston away friendly?’ |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Pompey Striker Bishop at 21:52:13
Don't forget what a completely different league The Championship is. McKenna likes players who have been through premier league youth academies and Ashton likes them young, to have dropped down and have bags of growth in their ability and value. Colby Bishop doesn't fit either of these criteria - he is from a consistently lower league background and hasn't dropped down. |
 | News Comment | Former Blue Kenlock Joins Shots at 02:59:37
Kenlock always looked lightweight. He also appeared like he couldn't stop a pig in a passage. Not built for football. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-0 Burton Albion - Match Report at 19:54:58
Firstly, Burton brought the game to us and at times played some excellent stuff. In the first half they overlapped like Wes and Janoi and we were worried. Once we had the game by the scruff of the neck we looked composed, exciting and determined. The change in play is a combination of intricate passing alternating with direct through the middle and direct over the top football. It works. Broadhead is a baller, he runs with a swagger and has a football brain above this league. Morsy and Massimo looked excellent in the centre. Always there, always making themselves available. A final mention for Freddy, what a tireless, clever performance - he is in a groove and his replacement has big boots to fill |
 | News Comment | MK Dons 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:46:12
3 important points The midfield looked far stronger with Luongo playing in the second half. Hirst's role was lonely and frustrating all match. The defenders wrestled him physicall away from the ball without punishment time and time again. From the warm ups to the final minutes we were wasteful in front of goal. Lee Grant's striker drill pre-match is like a blooper reel! Forwards with just a GK to beat missing the target from 12 yards time and time again. We cannot be complacent, we do not finish well enough. Fingers crossed for 6 points from the next 2. |
