| News Comment | Leaders Leicester Lose at Plymouth at 22:29:03
In a weird twist of fate and silly rules, Leicester never again return to the premier league to face their points deduction. |
| News Comment | Stevenage Eyeing Baggott Loan at 11:32:13
I think we should consider a transfer abroad, league one can’t be the best training ground for a player we hope to reach upper championship/prem levels. Maybe a spell in Germany? |
| News Comment | Town Starting XI at Preston at 18:51:05
@algarveblue - can you imagine the project management meeting where they said ‘we must get town tv live for the Preston away friendly?’ |
| News Comment | Blues Linked With Pompey Striker Bishop at 21:52:13
Don't forget what a completely different league The Championship is. McKenna likes players who have been through premier league youth academies and Ashton likes them young, to have dropped down and have bags of growth in their ability and value. Colby Bishop doesn't fit either of these criteria - he is from a consistently lower league background and hasn't dropped down. |
| News Comment | Former Blue Kenlock Joins Shots at 02:59:37
Kenlock always looked lightweight. He also appeared like he couldn't stop a pig in a passage. Not built for football. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-0 Burton Albion - Match Report at 19:54:58
Firstly, Burton brought the game to us and at times played some excellent stuff. In the first half they overlapped like Wes and Janoi and we were worried. Once we had the game by the scruff of the neck we looked composed, exciting and determined. The change in play is a combination of intricate passing alternating with direct through the middle and direct over the top football. It works. Broadhead is a baller, he runs with a swagger and has a football brain above this league. Morsy and Massimo looked excellent in the centre. Always there, always making themselves available. A final mention for Freddy, what a tireless, clever performance - he is in a groove and his replacement has big boots to fill |
| News Comment | MK Dons 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:46:12
3 important points The midfield looked far stronger with Luongo playing in the second half. Hirst's role was lonely and frustrating all match. The defenders wrestled him physicall away from the ball without punishment time and time again. From the warm ups to the final minutes we were wasteful in front of goal. Lee Grant's striker drill pre-match is like a blooper reel! Forwards with just a GK to beat missing the target from 12 yards time and time again. We cannot be complacent, we do not finish well enough. Fingers crossed for 6 points from the next 2. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-0 Forest Green Rovers - Match Report at 22:38:22
4-0 was a respectable score line. Broadhead is real quality as is the athleticism of Clarke, he visibly bounces around the pitch unlike some others who are sometimes caught flat-footed. On 10:26 at 1-0 Wes Burns stood off the pitch and juggled the ball with his feet as we waited for a corner taker to appear, unnecessarily casual, shows a lack of professionalism and energy. He should make way next game. Below par. Ladapo and Jackson brought a renewed vigour to the team and Chaplin was absolutely everywhere throughout the match. He never switched off. Luongo is tenacious and energetic and must be used effectively if he stays fit! A professional performance (in the main) onto the next one. |
| News Comment | Wright: Cameron Fits in With What the Strategy's Got to Be at 05:42:45
This is what KD got wrong - used to sulk that he didn't have his best team. Both Adem and Kieron wanted to win their respective leagues, by their own admission rather than always develop players into the first team. Carberry - surely this is a pathway - it can't be set in stone like ‘on March 5th we will take Humphreys across' it's surely more about when opportunities occur the U21ms are ready |
| News Comment | McKenna: One of the Best Performances Since I’ve Been Here at 04:48:29
People on here posting over the top negative rubbish punctuated with ‘I hope I'm wrong' - you don't hope you're wrong you like your negative world. The board didnt support KMc in the Summer with good enough striker replacements for what we lost. However, when they've got 22 legs in the box and we've got maybe another 12 it's very very hard to get the ball in the goal. |
