 | Forum Reply | Are you worried we haven’t made a signing yet? at 10:50 19 Jun 2025
Absolutely not. Since Gamechanger20 Ltd took ownership of the club, they've had four summer transfer windows prior to this year and before June 20th in each year, this is the number of players signed: 2021 = 2 2022 = 2 2023 = 0 2024 = 0 As ever, patience is required. |

If Hutchinson walked into the school playground of those giving him stick on Twitter, the first thing they would want is a selfie or an autograph. |

As someone who has written a weekly column for over 12 years for the EADT, I concur with this. Even worse is the EADT website comments section under each article. That is a cesspit of miserable and cantankerous individuals. There was one poster who recently got banned from there (and this forum as it happens) who despite living in the south of France, of retirement age, and with grandchildren, chose to jump in with comments of vitriol and abuse, usually within an hour of my columns going online every week. Why they could not settle for doing something more productive with what seemed like quite an idyllic lifestyle was beyond me... |

Yes, the games away at Torpedo Moscow and Inter Milan were both on Channel 5. |

Because of the 'Town on the Telly' book I wrote two years ago and the research that went into that. |

No idea what happens to it if they drop into League One. But I think you're right, and I assume they still get the second year. |
 | Forum Reply | Championship at 15:20 13 Feb 2025
Don't think there is anyone else. Payments are only for two years. A third year is payable IF a team was in the Premier League for more than one season at the point of getting relegated. Norwich's ended last season. If Burnley and Sheffield United are promoted, it would only be Luton receiving such payments again next season of the current Championship sides IF they stay up of course. That's my understanding of such matters. |

Not sure if I am proud or ashamed to say that the North Stand whistle was blown by me! I used to blow that regularly. Then in December 1992, when we drew 2-2 at Highfield Road, Coventry, I went to get it out of my pocket to blow it after we scored (cannot remember which goal), but it had come out in the celebrations (along with my wallet) and the whistle was never seen again. I stopped after that. |

Good to see you yesterday mate on the way from Manningtree. Reminiscing over our dearly departed friend evoked some great memories. |

To the best of my knowledge, he was kicked off of there too a while back. Either that or he has decided to stop abusing us EADT 'hacks' as he liked to call us. Mind you, if he was kicked off, I'm sure he'll be back at some point under yet another new name. |

So true and good to see you at full-time. Seeing the smile on young Robson's face and what that meant to him reminded me of the feeling I had when I saw the faces of my own sons when they saw their first Premier League wins years ago. I never thought about it being your first too. Everything you've said here is exactly what it is all about. |

A friend of mine has brought to my attention this thread. I'm sorry I missed it at the time. Thank you Keno for your kind comments which are very much appreciated. I have been very fortunate to receive so many great comments on the back of excellent sales of both books. I thought I'd be lucky to sell just a handful! I'm just pleased that I was able to capture two great seasons in a way that resonated with so many of its readers. Hopefully my next book will prove just as successful. [Post edited 12 Sep 2024 8:27]

 | Forum Reply | New Board - Some questions from a cynical person at 17:17 13 Aug 2024
From what I understand, Gamechanger20 are the majority shareholders still. Previously, they owned 50%, Three Lions 10%, and Bright Path 40%. If the latter is now 44%, you would assume that one of the other parties percentage has been diluted by 4% or both diluted by 2%. Either way, that would still make GC20 the majority ownership group. As for the boards, and again, from my understanding, the Holding Company Board has Ed Schwartz (ORG), Brett Johnson (Three Lions), Jake Zahnow (Bright Path), Travis Viola (Avenue Capital - partner of Bright Path), and Sam Simon (Simon Sports). This is supplemented by four club personnel (including Matt Holland) on the management side. The ITFC board is made up of five club personnel (again including Matt Holland), plus investor representatives in Berke Bakay and Marc Lasry. So, I don't think that the original American owners are heavily outnumbered. That's how I view it. Happy to be corrected. [Post edited 13 Aug 2024 17:19]
