 | News Comment | Town Target Philogene Completes Villa Return at 18:12:10
Philogene is a very good player, an England U21 international with tremendous potential - KM wouldn't have wanted him otherwise. Villa obviously rate him too. It would have been wonderful to see him play for us but it's understandable he's gone back to the club that "feels like home" especially when they're in the Champions League. I hope it works out for him there and that he's not loaned out in January - unless we need a left sided forward in the New Year... |
 | News Comment | Morsy Skippers at Children of Gaza Fundraiser at 20:51:45
BlueArmy81 Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization. A funded proxy of the Iranian government that murders women for not wearing a hijab. Hamas' charter proves their genocidal ambitions. The war in Gaza is a direct result of the pogrom on 7th October. These are undeniable facts. I commend our captain trying to help innocent people in Gaza. Unfortunately there are over 100 innocent Jews, some women and children, who are also innocent, who are being held hostage for no other reason than to incite a response for the IDF so Hamas can try to win a propaganda war against the Jewish state. Even more unfortunately they seem to have succeeded with you. |
 | News Comment | Morsy Skippers at Children of Gaza Fundraiser at 18:04:54
Meanwhile Israeli kids have been kept hostage for 237 days and counting. The war in Gaza ends as soon as Hamas releases the innocent hostages. The same Hamas who butchered and raped on 7th October and use their own women and children as human shields. Read the Hamas charter and find out who is genuinely genocidal. |
 | News Comment | Stoke Confirm Celina Signing at 00:49:05
We have missed his creativity and guile at times this season and it has cost us draws instead of victories. Perhaps he will join us again once we are promoted as he is far too good for League one. |

Very impressive Matt Ward. No wonder you were given a first team opportunity |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-0 Cambridge United - Match Report at 00:29:26
Sorry Ipswichboi, meant to be an up not down We wore them down and then our subs executed the coup de grace. The third goal showed Edwards' predatory instincts - he is developing from prospect into the real deal. A frustrating 70 minutes but ultimately a deserved win thanks to patience, diligence and a well-timed triple substitution. Really enjoying this season so far and Sone Aluko on Ifollow tonight. |
 | News Comment | EFL Matches Postponed as Mark of Respect at 17:33:06
I think some (most?) are missing the point here. There will be plenty of opportunity for 2 minutes silence or to belt out the national anthem with the football community at the Bristol Rovers match on Tuesday. We can celebrate her life then or/and at Hillsborough the following Saturday. This postponement is a mark of respect for the duty and dedication to service shown by our monarch for over 70 years. All football is postponed including amateur and school games as well as horse racing today and golf and cycling's Tour of Britain. It is disappointing to see so many negative reactions to the postponement of ONE football match? I wonder if those same folk will complain about the extra Bank Holiday on the day of her funeral? |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Ahadme Signing at 19:45:41
Very happy with this. He played very well against us for Burton - JFH was singing his praises after that game because he worked hard, led the line well and had chances to score. At 21 he has plenty of opportunity to push on. |
 | News Comment | Burton Albion 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:20:43
That's a good 3 points and augurs well for Accrington, Cheltenham, Cambridge etc. who play a more physical game and like a long throw. First half was sloppy and we nearly gifted them a couple of goals but much better in the second half when we played with width and at pace. For the Jackson haters, take another look at the 64th minute when we overlapped Chaplin to the byline but when the move broke down he was blocking a Burton cross in our penalty area to prevent the counterattack. Plenty of selfless running stretching their backline by our Ladapo, Harness and Jackson. JJ and Chaplin looked sharp when they cam on. Walton was probably MoM but congrats also to the backline for the clean sheet. |
 | News Comment | Celina Completes Kasımpaşa Loan Move at 21:25:59
Very disappointed we didn't get Santi in for this season although I think his guile and passing range would be better suited to Championship level than League One so I am hoping we sign him next season after promotion! |
 | News Comment | Preston Eyeing Celina at 23:11:11
Although Burns and Donacien had more consistent seasons, on his day Celina is our best player. Weight of pass, vision and execution are sublime at times. Of all our loanees this season Celina is the one we should try to sign again. He would be a useful addition if we get promoted too. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-0 Gillingham - Match Report at 17:13:11
Not a good performance but a much needed win. And those three points are just about the only positive in a game where Burns went off injured, we had too many misplaced passes and once again we struggled to get shots on target. Thankfully their two best chances hit the post. It is said that successful teams win even when they are playing poorly so perhaps this game was an omen. We'll need a better performance at Doncaster, who just won at Sunderland. |
 | News Comment | Gillingham 0-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:00:50
Great system and performance. Controlled the game and seemed to have so much space thanks to slick one-touch passing and subtle changes of direction of play. Didn't shirk the physical side of the game either. Professional and well-earned away victory. Well done town! Certainly made my weekend brighter!! |
 | News Comment | Cambridge United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:11:20
Utterly predictable final 20 minutes. The opposition know that our defensive weakness is high balls in the box. Cambridge had 7 players in the penalty box for the corner when they equalized. Apart from Donacien, Burgess and Edmondson who is going to win the aerial ball? With a one goal lead away from home, bring on Piggott and Nsiala with 20 minutes to go - the game by-passed Edwards and Celina when they cam on. We have to shore up the defence before the siege. Impressive first half but all that good work seems wasted when we can't defend route one football. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report at 17:10:14
Sitting back on a 2-1 lead for the last 25 minutes is simply not good enough. We invited the opposition to attack and coughed up a last minute goal from a set piece. Defensively and mentally we look very fragile. |
