| News Comment | Three Changes For Town at Cardiff at 12:21:48
Hope I'm wrong (as my only way to follow) but not even featured on the BBC site for live commentary? Regardless, I'm sending my support to the team from a gloomy Edinburgh, strong side & hope we do well |
| News Comment | McKenna: It Was a Bit of a Wild Game, Wasn't it? at 14:40:40
1st goal was embarrassing for this level, thier 2nd is a complete balls up by Victor (who I love as our keeper but he missed that by miles) & 3rd one an iffy pen. Its not really the number it's that we were stuck in our half for 20 odd mins, trying to 'pass it out' & failing, adding to pressure on the defence that is unessesary. That is what irks me, we handed WB a goal the other week, same with Preston & again last night. Sometimes foot thru the ball & give up possession is tactically the best choice! |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Moore Loan Signing at 20:29:05
Plan B, potentially a change in our approach for plan A, his experience & heading ability opens up a lot for us. We can add dimensions to our attack that should overcome teams with 11 behind the ball. Also his connection to both of our key midfielders should ease 'fitting in' |
| News Comment | Striker Remains Priority For Town on Deadline Day at 10:30:51
I was initially quite excited when Moore was mentioned but genuinely think Gallagher would be a better fit. I like the Wales connection with Burns n Broadhead & still happy to see him here. Blackburn are securing another striker today (by all accounts) so Gallagher might still move on. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Evans Surgery a Success at 15:04:15
Heal well Lee, come back strong. Hopefully the other pre existing issue has been addressed now as well & he can stay injury free in the future. We're fortunate to have 2/3 players who can fill that position |
| News Comment | Chaplin: We Were the Better Team and Had the Better Chances at 13:03:24
On another day we would have taken something from that performance with the personnel available. We were 3 players adrift of our strongest side, there is no need for doom n gloom. Of course the idiots will say their usual BS on here, tempting us all to become embroiled in responding, rise above. |
| News Comment | McKenna: A Lot More Good Than Bad at 22:56:12
Half expected this and for those that live in clod cuckoo land, here's some facts. Two of their players (who both scored) cost more than our entire front line, as an astute poster said we were playing Fleetwod this time last season! Yes, we leaked some poor goals and we will concede many more this season but we rallied & we competed against the team well fancied to bounce back. We're fancied to compete for top 6 & I will be ecstatic if we achieve that. |
| News Comment | Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 04:10:05
Hladky's save at the end was absolute class, made it look so easy. When seen in slo mo, it would have caught a lot of keepers out, he spotted it early & set himself perfectly. Important saves & he definitely got a finger to the earlier one onto the posts, take a bow Victor |
| News Comment | Ainsworth: We Can Beat Town If We Play as We Have Been at 20:24:01
I have had a scoreline in my head ever since I saw this fixture, don't normally so might stick a quid on that. No, I can't say what it is, haha, might jinx it. I loved seeing Towns 2nd vs Stoke described by bbc with one word, Ruthless!! Been a while, COYB!! |
| News Comment | Sunderland 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:24:48
Yes it's a long season and yes we rode our luck today but we have just beaten a team that will be aiming to challenge for the title...in their back yard....in front of a massive crowd and on Sky too. I'm sure most of us would have been thrilled with a draw, welcome to championship and up the blues |
| News Comment | Town Assessing Walton Injury at 17:56:37
It's always entertaining reading the comments, lots of sensible ones & as ever, the doom n gloom brigade. Not happy that players have injuries but only Clarke's is of any real concern. I'd like more security in defence & do not doubt MA is on the case. He's told us he is and ain't let us down so far. |
| News Comment | More Than 40,000 Set to Watch Season Opener at 19:07:05
North of the border as well, not been to a match in years, in fact it was a 0-0 draw with Gillingham a few seasons ago (both teams woeful). It was that bad footballingwise that my Dad & I said no more, well not until the standard got better. Suffice to say, I'll be arranging my visits to coincide with match days this year, can't wait to see the new pitch as well - so much good work is being done. Let's get those signings sorted to aid defence, as much as another striker might be nice, our front lines are going to be worrying others already. Hope Walton's okay. |
