 | News Comment | McKenna: Three Really, Really Bad Goals Before Half-Time at 02:04:50
Nowhere near good enough for the Premiership and we honestly fully deserve to go down... Some tough teams in the Championship next season so could be interesting. Birmingham have made some highly significant signings and will be aiming for top 6. Wrexham could be interesting as they'll be unpredictable. Leicester and Southampton will be with us. West Brom and Coventry continue to build every season. Very tough season ahead. |

Disappointed. No league win this year and when the opposition scores the team now seems to expect it. Yes...we've had a lot of injuries...but this team looks down already. 3rd from bottom is with an extra 3m...we must do all we can to ensure that. Will we do a Sheffield Utd or a Luton next season? Personally feel we will be somewhere in between. Hopefully we'll make a good effort to get into the play offs and then...who knows? |

Thanks TWTD. Been a member now for many, many years (since the beginning or close 2!) and it's always been a highlight for me. Peaceful and Happy Xmas to everyone :) |

@TimmyH Feel there are a few players that are out of depth at this level right now (though they may well be able to compete at this level in the future). Few players need to come in, and a few need to go out on-loan (ideally to the Championship). There are also a couple of players who need to sort out long term injuries (yet they are still playing). Jan transfer market will be interesting...can see Wolves spending a fortune trying to stay up. Will we do the same? |

Firstly...really great that we got promoted 2 years on the bounce. Credit to everyone at the club.... Secondly...the Muric question. Obviously he wasn't with us during those good times so it's very easy to point the finger. Many Burnley fans also believed that he was a major reason for their relegation....I see it differently. I think he's being asked to play GK in a way that's not natural to him. Hladky and Walton are both used to playing it out from the back and are highly successful at doing it. Muric isn't and has been caught out on multiple occasions...sometimes leading to goals. That's going to clearly impact his confidence. Hladky was flying when he was with us...I still don't understand why he left. Muric does need to spend some time getting used to the way we play...and massive chants of "dodgy keeper" aren't going to help him gel. Really feel Walton should get his chance. Thirdly...we do need to reinforce in Jan if we intend to try to stay up. I'd be tempted to put in an offer for Downes (he's been good in a poor Southampton team). The guy from Boro (striker). Will probably need even more than that.... |
 | News Comment | McKenna: It's a Really Big Game at 00:21:40
Muric has been frustrating so far. He can pull off world class saves followed by inexplicable decision making. Consistency is key for a GK and we haven't seen that so far. Think Hladky was much more in tune with the defence and he always seemed to read the game much better. Predict a frustrating game similar to the last 2. If Wolves get 3 points, there is no doubt we are in big trouble. |
 | News Comment | Chaplin: Bournemouth a Team I Really Like to Watch at 03:52:44
Many dogs have specific jobs (guide dogs, police dogs, sheep dogs etc) that can benefit individuals in so many ways. Dogs also have a sense of loyalty which is sadly lacking in most human beings. Taking a dog for a walk is usually a fairly calm activity (unless of course you have an aggressive dog). In large, populated areas they can be annoying (constant barking, possible aggression etc), particularly to people who have never had a dog or have no intention of having one. Strangely, I went for a walk yesterday and a small dog on a lead randomly tried to bite my leg (I had to move quickly to avoid it or else it'd have been a definite bite). Owner pretended it hadn't happened and pretended to be on the phone when I voiced out. |
 | News Comment | Head of Recruitment Rejoins Manchester United at 21:56:29
Not sure it's a good move for him. He will find players to develop, and then watch them all disappear on loan to other clubs. Meanwhile he'll always be under the shadow of the first team Head of Recruitment. Still, he has made his choice. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Maidstone United - Match Report at 19:02:56
Good post Derry from Berry. Appalling result and utterly embarassing. The worst result in our history? Yes...I think so. People will still be going on about "remember when Maidstone Utd beat Ipswich in 2024?" 50 years from now (there are entire pages and websites dedicated to Sutton beating Coventry in 1989 and Sutton were in the 5th tier- not 6th at the time) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutton_United_2–1_Coventry_City_(1989) 2 strikers badly..badly needed but I'm very concerned about the quality of players that we've been recently linked with. If we expect strikers who are doing reasonably well in the 3rd or 4th tier to step up and play at top Championship level...we will be sadly mistaken. Strikers rarely (if ever) make that jump and succeed. We've seen how well some of our players have done in the leagues below. I'm seriously concerned (and have been for a while). |
 | News Comment | Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 06:00:49
Class result and nine points from the first three games is excellent. However....if it wasn't for Hladky we would have lost that game. We can't rely on our GK to be in world class form game after game....that defender (and another striker) much needed. Sinclair Armstrong looked superb...would love it if we tried to get him in. He was feeding off long balls so had a difficult afternoon. In a passing team...his acceleration and pace would really pay dividends. |
 | News Comment | Cambridge United 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 14:21:39
Poor performance overall but really doesn't matter...it's a friendly after all. Some of the defending at times was haphazard but we were probably trying to avoid injuries. Score line really doesn't matter... |
