 | News Comment | Wrexham Make £7m Approach For Broadhead at 20:01:09
I agree with Edmundo - he's underrated and when he's playing well can be the difference, unlocking defences. IMO he should have been given more playing time. Maybe it's a sign of having been in the PL last year and the daft money that's thrown around, but my initial thought was 7 mil is nowhere near enough. I'd like to keep him, I certainly think he's proven himself more than Philogene or Ogbene (who we've not seen enough of to be able to properly judge him), not that i dont like them. |

@benfromkent - Thank you!!! I was just about to ask that question. It's like 'you go to bed and wake up and suddenly you're old and there's a whole new way of speaking going on'! :) |

I am still annoyed by the Leicester game and the absolutely blatant penalty that wasn't given, and not just for the win it cost us. KP is then sent off and banned for three games at a time when he was really starting to perform. We were still very much in the mix in the table at the time and I believe this disruption, on top of all the other injuries, had a significant detrimental impact on our season. Either that or I'm just still annoyed with the that penalty decision and will use any excuse to rant about it! :) |
 | News Comment | Humphreys Wycombe Young Player of the Year at 14:45:30
The_Prof - my stepfather is a Blackpool fan and says he's been excellent for them this season, so another encouraging option for us. It's great that we have some really good talent coming through. And I agree with the above comments, if we can keep hold of Cajuste then our midfield and attacking options look great: Cajuste, Humphries, Taylor, Morsy, Hutchinson, Clarke, Szmodics, Ogbene, Philogene, Burns, Broadhead, Chaplin. But I also agree we need a replacement for Morsy given his age and his performances this season. He'll be good again in the CH, but we need to build for a return to the PL. |

Small gestures can have a huge impact. This is a great example of the importance of soft power, and a reminder that we, as individuals, can make a difference if we focus on a task. I spent a year in Baghdad from 2006-07, it was a horrific time, but in the midst of the madness there were many examples of people taking risks to do good things and make a difference. Well done to this fella for being one of them. |

 | News Comment | Ex-Referees' Chief: Jones Too Quick to Issue Tuanzebe's First Yellow Card at 10:10:14
It's easy to say these things after the game - and great that a former senior official is saying them - but it doesn't help us unless the PGMOL and the PL take definitive action. The reality is these decisions have cost us significantly this season to the point that if we don't survive, it could be down to these errors. Chaplin's 'penalty' that wasn't given against Leicester, that would have been 3 points, and Philips wouldn't have been sent off, affecting his performances. The decision not to send off Pedro, there's a chance we might not have lost to ten men of Brighton. That's five points just on those two games alone, and is huge in the relegation battle. |
 | News Comment | Sheffield United Eyeing Woolfenden at 20:27:44
I thought he did well in the last few games, would be surprised to see him go, and a little disappointed. I confess I didn't think he was up to the PL level at the start of the season, but he's clearly worked hard and improved. |

In other news, the Chairman of the disciplinary board has written an article on "my life as a member of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Board of Director's and Shareholders", he can be seen in the attached photo, next to his favourite player, Matheus Cunha.... Absolute joke. |
 | News Comment | Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 16:33:03
Excellent result. I thought the lads were brilliant, especially in managing the game at the end. Amazing what we can do when we're allowed to finish a game with 11 men. And great that we finally get a few VAR decisions going our way, perhaps MA's chat with Howard Webb paid off after all. But, not that I'm finding it difficult to let go, there were two fouls, one which was a booking against us today that were the same or not as bad as the 'penalty that wasn't given' last week. I hope MA is going to make the point about consistency in decision making. But, today is all about a fabulous result. Good performances all round, but Hutchinson obvs stood out, and Delap was unbelievably good. Thought Burgess and O'Shea were exceptional too. |
 | News Comment | West Ham United 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:12:44
Clearly we were poor and didn't seem to have any answer against what looked like a strong West Ham side. Our defending was awful at times, although I though O'Shea ans Greaves did OK. Muric made some terrible errors again, although also made skme good saves. Our weakest area was on the right. Johnson was just not good enough and Burns looked out of his depth. I think the experiment of having Hutchinson in the middle isn't working, he's much better out on the right wing. Chaplin looked active and quick when he came on, it would be good to see him get a start. We need to do a lot better or else we'll really struggle. |
 | News Comment | West Ham United 2-1 Ipswich Town - Half-Time at 16:07:33
Some chaotic and suicidal defending at the end of the first half. West Ham are - and I hate saying it - deservedly in front. I equally hate to say it, but both Bimurns and Johnson look out of their depth down the right. I'd rather have Hutchinson or Smozdics there and Chaplin in the middle. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Not Much Wrong With Display Apart From Defending Two Set Plays at 08:01:06
Dissboy - sorry, fat fingers down voted you. JewellintheTown - bang on. Huge disappointment last night, but it's a team with a lot of new faces that needs to develop. That will take time, but will hopefully lead to better things. Fulham is an important game, but tbh I think we need to look to after the first international break, when KM will have had time on the training pitch to work with the players and instill his approach. |
 | News Comment | Manchester City 4-1 Ipswich Town - Highlights at 16:20:02
It would be good to get an explanation from the officials on how that challenge on Davis was not a penalty. Baffles me. He was sandwiched between two players, one coming in from the side didn't even get close to going for the ball. Shockingly bad decision that someone needs to explain, especially when the prizes and the costs are so high. Music, I'm sure, will prove to be an excellent signing, but I can't help thinking he wasn't ready for this match and that Walton deserved his place yesterday. |
 | News Comment | Philogene 'Set to Rejoin Villa' at 16:26:27
If we think he's good enough, we should put in an increased offer by £1m. If Hull agree, we get our player for a little more, if jot we just drive the price up for Villa. Win win either way. |
 | News Comment | Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 14:58:33
Probably the worst performance of the season, which given the opposition and the importance of the game is quite shocking. We just did not turn up. No intensity, second to most balls and no real threat up front, not least until Hamadi came on. I thought Moore in particular was really poor, especially when he let the ball go out for a corner rather than trying to get it back and create something. Chaplin was barely noticeable, which I cant believe I'm writing given the seasson he's had. Hutchinson seemed devoid of ideas. We barely threatened the goal. We're now hoping that Leeds or Leicester slip up, not where we want to be. I know we've had an amazing run this season and we would all have taken being in this position after 41 games at the start of the season. But its really frustrating to play so poorly and after so much good work this season. |
