He is so right, I remember losing a play off game at Portman Road where the crowd were so nervous you could Feel the tension and it transmitted itself to the players. I also remember the opposite, a boxing day game against blackburn, when they had a team and we went one nil down. We COULD have got nervous but didn't, from the kick off we roared them on and went on to win. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hold your nerve and keep cheering them on and this team CAN deliver |

My take on this is that we don't know what the club offered or what more he wanted. It could be pay, length of contract or an exit clause for example. So i won't blame the club. Much as i want our young players to stay we cant let them hold us to ransom. Whilst he may go on to haunt us in the future, history suggests its more likely that he will disappear into obscurity. |

I have very mixed feelings on this one.
I agree with most on here that he has been out of the game for a loooong time.
That said he did very well with Charlton, who are a similar sized family club taking them back to the Valley and building a successful team. Yes he is quietly spoken but remember he sat the team down in the center circle and gave them a public bollocking after a particularly bad performance! So he can deal with that side of things as well.
My gut says give him a go at building the club up again if Jewell goes |
