I swear to god if we lose him to a team like Palace or anyone for that matter I will really feel unease prob for a long while. Before Bart I can't forget how many clown goals we gave away due to stupid goalkeeping errors.
Deano is a great backup keeper but I just can't see him being consistent enough to win us points for a promotion push or anywhere close to that matter.
Out of anyone at this club I would keep Bart even over Waghorn (Waggy would be an extremely close 2nd). Bart has saved us so many points in the last 2-3 seaasons and prob even subconsciously changed my view on Pols :P |

From what I've seen he's capable to be in that 1st team, seems to track back and do the dirty work too and with his flashes of quick touches and change of speed, he maybe become a very important player for us come to the end of the seaon, either as an impact player or a solid starter. Lets Hope! |

I feel people really forget how hard getting out of this league is, build a foundation and just keep making it stronger, and the counter part to that is get a new manager and then the quick fix and magical ride to the BPL begins? Nah mate, Jewell and Keane days all over again. It's so funny how the topic of this article is bringing out those exact fans, or shall i put it "fans" who expect glory after barely scraping it into the top 6 last year. |

And please please please remember what the f*ck happened to our football club before Mick got here and dug us out of that massive hole.
Yes hasn't been the greatest of seasons but in the time he has been here he has only done us well in every aspect. Even if we don't make it this year which I doubt we will, I still believe Mick is the man to take us back to BPL let him build this club around him and lets not take this situation for granted.

Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion. Me thinking you're a tw*t is my opinion yes, but does that make me right? I wouldn't call that an honest assessment by Evans AT ALL. It was more based on his frustration and blaming, it's also called professionalism within your trade no matter the circumstance. People like Evans with his attitude doesn't work unless you're the likes of Sir Alex who has 19years and countless trophies to back it up with built up frustration. So no completely and utterly disagree with your point towards him, your point in general is correct but in this situation you are the one who is looking at it in the wrong way. |

To all the "Football Managers" out there claiming we should do this and do that with 8 million. Haven't you learnt or witnessed yourselves personally what Mick can do? Man give this 2 years ago with any of our previous managers and maybe I would of been on the same boat. But with Mick McCarthy at the helm, anyone who he considers fit to play for us I trust. He gets the best out of players and even if we did spend 8million what guarantee does that give apart from satisfying people that we have spent 8 mil? Just pipe down and let Mick work his magic.

Great worker and wore the shirt with "adopted pride" is how I've have always felt with him. He will forever be remembered for that goal at PR against the scum, and I hope he realises he will never need to pay for a pint in Suffolk.

Out of the whole article it's honestly great to hear Henshaw doing the extra bit during summer and wanting to make a statement for this year and coming back flying for pre season, I'm sure that's gone down well with McCarthy and hope to be seeing him playing more regularly this season.
Shame on Hyam, I have to agree with Skuse on this one as I feel Hyam is really really REALLY under appreciated for what he does for the team. He gives us a presence in midfield where maybe Bishop and Skuse lack for certain games like Norwich. It's never bad to have a player who will put his f*cking nuts on the line like Hyam and at the end of the day he's living our dream! One of our own and hope he has a speedy recovery!
PS - Before any of the "specific few" reply with saying he's not as good as Bishop or Skuse, all i can say is maybe so but my point being he gives us a completely different dynamic and that's always good to have in the locker. |

I do assume this would be back up unless he's such a talent? I'm not sure if i speak alone but Gerken has saved us points countless of times and not to be brown nosing anyone but i don't believe he has gotten enough credit.

I rate him above McAuley, yeah I may be biased but how on earth have we landed this player here at Portman Road? Of course he lacks some composure on the ball and pace but he does read danger extremely well and wins 8/10 headers plus rarely gives a striker an inch of space with the ball.
I've seen him play several times at home this year and his consistency has been top class. Very smart against fast attackers making up for his pace, he rarely ever lets them turn and if they manage to lay the ball off he battles hard to not let them run ahead of him. Also not to forget he provides an aerial threat on set pieces, I always feel confident now when we have a corner knowing that we got Tommy and Berra to power a header home.
Been an amazing season so far... People are far too negative on when things don't go our way but that's football. Mick has done an incredible job only spending 25k on an unknown 18yr old winger and now we're a team pushing for the play offs... We were battling for survival last year and we still got the moaners on here saying we're not a team worthy of promotion. If I'm not wrong but I do believe we're a team for once and everyone of those players are fighting for each other and the belief is there even though on paper we look like a mid-table team.
Let's back the lads no matter what, it's been a great season compared to the last 5-7 years.

Don't know if I speak for many but I sensed not many were real happy when he arrived, but admittedly he's not been given no where near as much credit for some of the performances he has put in so far this season when he came into the team.
Thought he would of been sitting for seconds with Loachy starting this season as our solid number 1, but even the moaners on here can't complain!

Sorry, I know i'm biased being a Town supporter but even I could see if he had the choice between Yeovil or here...Without a doubt would head this way. Maybe due to more chances of appearences, but for his age and ability and where we're heading as a club I can't understand his motive. |
