Austin Agrees Burnley Deal - Reports
at 13:22:01

Another in a long line of signing failures.

At the very least Clegg and Evans owe the fans an explanation of what is going wrong. The apparent lack of ambition is worrying to say the least and I would like to know just what the hell the long term plan here is - if in fact there is one!

Burnley Emerge as Town\'s Main Rivals for Austin
at 11:07:25

Not sure who is to blame as I dont know enough about the inner workings of ITFC to be able to judge, unlike others on here it seems!

Having said that something is clearly wrong because there is a pattern emerging of getting deals underway but failing to complete them. If we cannot or will not match the wages being offered by the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace in the summer and now it seems Portsmouth (in the case of Norris) then the fans need to be told about this apparent lack of ambition and what the long term plan actually is.

Town Recall Martin From Charlton

Makes sense to me.

We have invested a lot of money in this boy. If Jewell can get something out of him its worth a try.

Town Recall Martin From Charlton
at 19:20:54

To be honest I'm surprised 10000 bothered to turn up given the lack of entertainment on offer for the last god knows how many games!

I lost faith in Keane after the Barnsley debacle and he seems to have single handedly driven away 5-6000 fans from every home League game, never mind cup games.

Keane: Poor Decision-Making Let Us Down
at 18:37:41

Suicidal defending cost us today - strangely before the sending off I thought we looked better going forward than for some time!

It has to be said though that Keane looks completely out of his depth. Evans needs to make changes now before its too late. Forget the playoffs, we are only four points off a relegation place with the worst current form in the Championship.

We need a manager who knows what he's doing, and we need him now!

Norris Confirms Contract Talks
at 08:27:20

OK player for Championship level but lets be honest - he is not and never has been worth anywhere near the £2+ million we paid for him.

Plymouth did great business and Magilton squandered more of Evan's money on that deal!!

Town-Norwich Derby on TV Around the World

Great - just as I thought it couldnt get any worse potential International humiliation beckons!

Let's hope we can come up with some sort of result Sunday. All true fans want to win this one and if it keeps Keane in the job a bit longer so be it. I'd rather that than lose to the scum!!!

Keane Looking to Bounce Back at Norwich
at 19:46:25

I dont personally understand the animosity toward Keane on this board.

I think he is clearly out of his depth and should be replaced but it gives me no pleasure to say that. If he had been successful it would have meant ITFC were successful and thats what we all want. I dont suppose Keane set out to fail deliberately after all!

As for Sunday I would never ever want the scum to beat us for any reason whatsoever.

Good blog - couldnt agree more.

I think Barnsley was the beginning of the end, which could come very quickly if we really get turned over by the scum next week. Its a shame but the Keane 'experiment' has failed and the club need to move on before more damage is done!

Keane: We Are Making Progress
at 16:59:30

First and foremost I want to see good, entertaining football at PR. I've not seen that under Keane or it has to be said Magilton. If we lose we lose but its the manner of the defeat which is important. Last Saturday was dreadful and there is no other word for it.

Some fans reaction by cheering Barnsley when they passed the ball on the deck, accurately and quickly has been criticised. I agree its unusual to do it but how else are Town fans to protest at what they see? Ipswich used to do what Barnsley did but not any longer.

Loving the club does not equate to accepting everything that it does. I want to register my dismay at what I see on the pitch and if Keane, Clegg or Evans dont like it - tough!!

Town Linked With Blackpool Defender

I think its a non story because at best Keane has until his contract runs out before Evans gets rid.

I therefore can't see him being allowed to sign anyone permanently.

I have supported Keane until now but after what I saw against Barnsley I really cannot do so any more and he must go!It gives me no pleasure to say that, unlike some on this site it appears, because had Keane been successful then so would Town and surely thats what we all want?

Between them Keane and Magilton have wasted the last five years and £20 million imo and we really are no further forward than when Royle gave up because of lack of resources. I can remember the early days of Sir Bobby Robson and it is true he did struggle but the crucial difference is that you could at least see what he was trying to achieve and things got better slowly. I know people will argue we are in an improved position compared to this time last year but I dont think we have played that well all season and what I saw against Barnsley was totally unacceptable and I felt embarrassed watching it.

In some respects Keane has been unlucky. Town fans are very frustrated about the last eight or so years I think and he happens to be in place when the frustrations are finally boiling over. He was clearly made to sell players in the summer and has not been funded to bring in the replacements he wanted. Having said that he spent a lot of money last season and his tactical decisions baffle me most of the time! Making grandiose statements when first arriving about getting us up in two years did not help his cause at all either.

So Keane should go and be replaced by an experienced man with a proven track record. No more well meaning amateurs (Magilton) or celebrity managers (Keane). Whether or not Evans will act is the question and I think two of the next three games are crucial. Regardless of what happens at Hull if we get turned over at Norwich, which has to be a real possibility, the home match against a very good Swansea team takes on massive significance. Another lacklustre display by Town along the lines of the Barnsley performance and the home crowd will really let rip I suspect. I dont think Evans will like that very much!!!

Keane Disappointed With Defeat
at 18:24:48

Shocking performance and no amount of excuses can cover that simple fact up!

I had hoped Keane would be successful here but can't see it happening now. Between them Magilton and Keane have effectively wasted the last fiv years and £20 million because if anybody thinks we are further forward now than we were before these two, think again!

We need a manager with experience and a proven track record - no more well meaning amateurs - and we need him now!!!
