People above seem to be disappointed at this... if this is the case he's an attacking threat valued at over 1mill for free, we would be silly not to attempt this, unfortunately the limited funds mean a few free transfers but if we'd have signed him for a mill he'd have been considered a good signing... free doesn't automatically mean not good, definitely worth a go if we can!! |

There's no point abusing the players during the match, however bad you think the game is going that'll make it 10 times worse. At least pittmans big enough to admit they deserve the abuse and I think it's completely fair to request it at the end of the game. Give them a good atmosphere and they will play better (obviously it should be the other way around). You'll enjoy the game more as well must be depressing going to a match and moaning for 90minutes maybe try this whole encouraging thing instead of abusing players who are low on confidence and despite what some of you seem to think aren't trying to lose and want to do well?? |

He's not injury prone! Anyone who says so needs to understand that when other players cause the injuries how is that his fault. He's not a championship player I think that's clear Imo he's the kind of player that doesn't suit the championship and when he comes up against teams at this level they deal with him very physically that's why he gets injured not because he's injury prone... he's very unlucky and at least this means palace won't try and sell him in January now and we could have a stab at a permanent bid in the summer |

Of course they want to win they're not purposefully not playing well... this isn't some publicity stunt these are genuine views from our players, and themy coming out and saying yeah we're chap would do absolutely nothing for the club... they have a team and a job to protect and moral is what will improve our performances because unfortunately it's December and Messi isn't available to us right now. I get it that it's not great but come on... maybe try a bit of positivity at Portman road and watch the results start flooding in!! |

Why are we so negative about Williams?? The only reason he's injured is because he's a very good player and targeted by defenders who don't have the ability to stop him within the rules of the game. He isn't injury prone he's a threat and as soon as he starts getting protection from the referee he can play the rest of the season no problem. We're very luck to have him! |

I would praise Tommy Smith for his distribution, he may do too many long balls for some people's liking but these almost always find a town head and Tommy is more confident to run with the ball a bit and brings more pace to the table. Smith and berra are two completely different defenders and maybe while Webster develops it would be best to have christoph in there just as a rock but looking forward I think a Smith/Webster partnership would be excellent maybe give it a go when a lesser team comes to Portman road and I'm sure the overall team performance would improve |

Definitely worth having around even if it's just to come on a bully the oppositions back four, I am yet to see him miss out on a header and if he's chipping in with a couple of goals why not? Excellent back up on the bench or if injuries occur, and of the promising youngsters ready to compete for first team places there aren't strikers really so Verney isn't stopping growth of players surely?? |

Maybe derby isn't the game to try it but I'don't like to see Smith and Webster have a partnership together. They could solve any issues in a gap between the defence and midfield and in my opinion berra has been a week link in the defence of recent games. And Mickelson may surprise you he has been known to just chuck in 4 strikers out of nowhere or start bish or dozzel or something, you can't be sure what team heso putting out and this favourites crap is getting boring, Douglas has improved this year and is getting forward and skuse is the only rock who has millions of games at this level in the middle so would be needed too, it's far to risky to shove 50 attacking players on your attack and midfield and expect to just mop up the pieces... |

Best is the kind of player who will be looking to impress and his age and experience at this level means he could be a useful signing even if he's just filing in when injuries occur then why not. And hiso previous partnership with mcgoldrick could be very good if they can both have a run of games and stay fit, partnerships are better than individuals up top and we haven't found the two that work best together at the moment maybe best can be part of that.
And bringing in the experience of best and one more addition could work and if not we have lots of youngsters ready to go, give the squad a chance! |
