McCarthy: I Should Have Left Town Earlier
at 01:48:46

I remember when it was announced MM was to be the new manager my heart sank. I knew what we were in for-crap, boring hoofball & did we get it.
I vividly remember an interview with Brian Clough prior to an England v Eire match. Clough said that England's forwards should concentrate on attacking McCarthy because "he's actually not very good". I saw him play and Clough was spot on, unfortunately he wasn't a very good manager either despite how much he bigs himself up. Certainly the most boring football I have ever seen at PR. However, most of the blame for the demise of ITFC must be down to Evans, we have basically been in freefall since he took over.
A friend of mine (sadlly he died last year) knew Evans well and ME's vision was to get in a big name manager-Keane & get promotion & then sell the club, hasn't quite worked out has it.

Smith Training at Playford Road - But Only to Stay Fit
at 20:47:48

He was our best central defender when sold. A natural ral left footer who could score a few. I suspect it was MM who for some reason didn't like him. We all know what damage he did the club in general. 9

Norris Handed Blues League Debut as Lambert Makes Five Changes at Southend
at 15:20:47

Getting very annoyed by Lambert's squad rotation. One player who should be dropped is Chambers. He's already cost us a number of points this season. Wolfenden should be one of the first on the team sheet, the best central defender we have, I hope in January there is a clear out of players mainly signed by Hurst. Many are not good enough even for League 2. Is Norwood actually good enough at this level? Why keep changing a team? Still have faith but 2 matches against Doncaster where we we were very lucky not to lose and the abysmal performance against Rotheram really gall me. I still think when Evans took over & sacked Jim McG was a huge mistake, we were doing OK. It's just gone downhill from then.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Sunderland - Match Report
at 20:40:18

Great first half and a very deserved lead. Great attendance & a lot of noise. Thought it was a penalty when Jackson went down so, a very strange decision as were many. Unfortunately Captain Calaamity did it yet again, he's too much of a liability now. This was a game against apparently one of the favourites and we dominated them for most of the game. They only had one shot on target courtesy of Chambers & unfortunately scored. Judge's passing & cornerswere a bit wayward. , some very good performances, Woolfedon impressed & I thought Donacien had a great game at RB. Overall things look good especially as we have players to come back but we need to put Chambers on the bench or out to grass.

Skipper Chambers Linked With Chicago Fire
at 11:12:02

Never thought that much of him but he did fit the McCarthy style brilliantly, hoof it anywhere. For him this would make great sense. We lost our best defender Tommy Smith to America & he seems to love it. LC might be a great leader, unfotunately his football has cost us so many points but good luck to him.

Nolan: We Will Go into Stoke Match Full of Confidence
at 11:48:58

Agree with all above. Calobah does look really good as a sweeper/defensive midfield, don't really see how we can play Skuse & him in this formation. Skuse has been a revelation under Lambert but he also seems to be getting the best out of Chalobah. Hard one.

Wilder: McGoldrick Will Be Looking Forward to Portman Road Return
at 10:25:43

Strange isn't it how McGoldrick is injury free and scoring regularly. Was it MM's training methods that gave him so many injuries or did he just not want to play for the dinosaur. DM is a footballer, MM wanted donkeys who could just run & chase hopeful long balls with no direction.

Nottingham Forest 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 11:56:26

Appalling. Having watched ITFC since 1961 I have never seen anything like this. Hurst was a huge mistake as have been all Evans' managerial appointments including MM who now is manager of Eire. My friend in Cork is distraught. Evans is not a football person, he is a businessman & thought he could get us into the Premiership by appointing RK (apparently they are friends). He would then have sold the club making a tidy profit. How it has backfired on him. My main concern now is will the infrastructure of the club sold, ie Playford Road a prime development site and any other assets. Make no mistake Evans has no conscience. Re yesterdays game, Chambers is now a liability in facc the whole back four are pretty dreadful. Perhaps ist div is needed if we can keep hold of PL, he's done it before

Ipswich Town 2-3 Bristol City - Match Report
at 13:26:50

The defense really needs a good kick up the arce. Pennington was at fault for 2 goals, send him back, he's no use to us. The forwards lost him so easily, Spence will be playing at the level he might be able to perform at next year if he stays, he was at fault for not closing the winger down allowing a cross to come in. Get rid of. Chambers is way past it so we desperately need two central defenders. Surely Wolfenden can't be any worse. Feel sorry for Freddie Sears who after being treated like shxte by MM and then the angel of Death-PH he seems to be back to his best.

Tommy Smith on Life's a Pitch
at 11:19:47

Agree with all the previous comments. He was our best defender for a long time, committed to the club but obviously not liked by MM. He also weighed in with a fair number of goals. I thought MM treated him appallingly, maybe Tommy had to much toi say about hoofball. He would be a huge asset right now & I doubt we'd have conceded some of the silly goals we have.

McCarthy: No Sympathy With Fans Who Hounded Me Out
at 09:49:00

What a total prxck, still as arrogant. DirtyOld Nogger called him a true gentleman, Christ you must know some pretty appalling people, MM acted like a lout most of the time, doesn't have a job does he. There's a vacancy at Leiston but doubt they'd even have him as they do play football not MMM's idea (hoofball)

Hurst Planning Changes at Leeds
at 14:04:28

As Matt Holland has said we have the best keeper in the division yet he's on the bench. Gerken really is at best a division 1 player & was Bristol's 2nd string when he was signed. I personally would get rid of him in January anyway. as for some of the other crazy decisions Hurst makes re selection perhaps there is some strange disease in Southern Yorkshire that affects the brain, MM certainly did some weird things. Would be great to get perhaps George B and another of our greats players of the past back. looking back Jim Magilton was actually doing OK when he was given the boot for a "high profile prat"

Hurst: Even Evans Surprised By Extent of Summer Changes
at 13:08:24

A lot of comments re selling Waghorn, if you have a player that is unhappy you will not get the best from him. He was offered much better terms by Derby for sure & wanted to go nearer to the NE. No brainer at 6 million or whatever. One of MM's better deals but who can forget the likes of Nouble, well his performances were forgettable.
Sir Bob struggled to begin with but turned ITFC into the best team in the league & one of the best in Europe. I am an optomist & hope PH does well. Nothing could be worse than watching a MM team.

McCarthy: Fans Waited to Throw Bottles at Me at Brentford
at 12:53:51

Oh dear, the imbecile trying to keep himself in the limelight. He did his job in keeping ITFC up but apart from that he was useless. How this dimwit even gets on TV let alone as a pundit baffles me. Probably the most boring man ever to be at Portman Road. Funny that Hurst is from the same area yet is so different in interviews.
To sum up MM was an arrogant twxt who really had not had a great deal of success, a very average footballer & not far short of being illiterate.
Who could blame Town fans if they had thrown buckets of shxt at the foul mouth.

Hurst: Midfield Role for Chalobah
at 11:53:35

So much negative cxp on here, I'm an optomist & I'm certainly happy with Hurst so far, the signings although from lower leagues seem good, not the journeymen MM seemed to favour. Harrison I think will become quite a star, he's seems to have it all, especially good in the air. It's good to hear Hurst's interviews which are so refreshing after 5 years of hearing MM talking in riddles about Flopsey, Mopsey etc etc. Thank God Idon't have to hear that drone any more

Rangers Would Receive Waghorn Windfall
at 09:13:22

Bluenberks, Marriot was sold by MM because he didn't fit the hoofball tactics and from what I've heard didn't see eye to eye with the dinosaur. Now worth around 7mil, I do remember the fans calling for him to be given a chance but good old Mick new best. Interesting to read some of Hurst's comments re fitness & attitude etc. Reading between the lines don't think he's too impressed with some of the things he's inherited.
