He certainly has my full support.
Gambling is an illness and he has been man enough to admit it and seek help. Having had anorexia as a teenager I know just how hard it is to face up to the fact you have a problem and get help from others. Its not just a case of stop gambling/eat some food.

Hope this is true and he stays.
Can't see him being as low down in the pecking order as some suggest. Counago inconsistent, Walters better on wing, Healy not proven yet, Wickam too young, Great start for Murphy but still early days.
It would'nt take a lot for him to get back in the side. A Murphy/Stead partnership would be worth seeing.

Stead is our joint leading goal scorer, works hard, will score goals when played as a STRIKER!! and given a decent run. As proved before the regrettable incident involving a red card.
Counago goes off the boil more than my morning eggs. Murphy is only here till the end of the season, as is Healy, but is certainly more Proton than Ferrari at the moment, Wickham is too young, Walters is better on the wing.
I support Ipswich, so I support whatever manager is in charge of my club. But Keane is certainly becoming harder for me to stand by due to his stupid decisions.
I had hoped to be watching a play off dog fight, not a relegation battle. |

Absoulutely disgusted!
Have emailed the FA. Felt I had to do something over such a miscarriage of justice. Stead is on fire at the moment and will be sorely missed. Anyone who knows anything about Ipswich knows he is not a dirty player just the victim of incompetent refereeing.
People who have read my previous posts will know I have always backed Stead to the hilt and was pleased to see him hit top form so this could'nt have come at a worse time.

I thought we were superb today. Stead worked hard, scored a great goal, and was on fire today. Feed the lad a decent ball and he can easily be our fabled 20 goal a season striker.

Stead was my favourite player last season and still is this season. He really needs a decent run in the side. Playing him as a lone striker pre season did nothing for he's confidence.
I would rather see Keane go than Stead. The man is doing the club no favours. |
