Lightning... Your right that I dreamt one day the club would get someone in who our fans could unite behind and get the club out of L1... Then dream then moorfed into promotion from the Champ as well... I'd rather be a dreamer than an ego maniac, who wants to forget the last 2 years and just moan about what they see as the future... Amazing how fickle our fans can be... The reality is that all 3 teams promoted went down. We finished above Leeds & Sunderland who are going up now and Sheffield U came down that year. Staying up would have been like 3 promotions in a row. Not many achieve that.
Hell stay and we'll fight to go up again. We need more players in key positions and a positive fan base will help the owners want to invest. |

I think the key issue here is we can't afford to upset the team dynamics by bringing someone in who's got a way better deal than the rest of the boys. Things never stay confidential so the deal must be similar. If he or his agent won't go for the deal offered (and that's the delay) then I'd rather let a player slip through our fingers and ensure the current team are happy. We don't know what is holding this up but we be better to pull out (and let Villa deal with their spending problems) and go for a striker... |

If he goes, and that's a BIG IF, I can't believe that any true fan would wish to reverse the amazing last 2 season and the joy that has brought us.
He seems a very smart man and as such will no doubt have smart advisors as well. People who really understand football will surely advise that Burnley going down has not significantly damaged their manager. Not getting immediate results at a big club would have all the pundits telling the world it was a step to soon to give him a big club and he wasn't ready. An early exit would really damage his career as per Potter..
I think he'll stay but we may well go down anyway. Whatever happens it will have been a crazy ride and I for one am glad I brought a ticket... |

Hoping that's Leeds or Leicester don't have the bottle over the last few games but looking at our display against the scum (think we bottled it..) the play off will be a total nightmare... Don't see us beating West Brom, Southampton, Scum or Coventry depending who gets there... Been a great season even so and hopefully we will strengthen again in the summer if the nightmare turns into cold sweats... |
