Don’t disagree with anything there. If everything plays out with Frank going to Spurs and should Brentford decide they want McKenna then he probably goes. But I think there’s a lot of uncertainties that will determine if they want him, and they’ll have choices and some of those might be cheaper and more attractive than KMac.
Worth also considering that if KMac goes well have arguably the most attractive vacancy in the English leagues. We should be spoiled for choice ourselves. |

But at the moment there isn’t yet a vacant position at Brentford even if it’s inevitable there will be and there is no guarantee that he’s Brentford’s choice when the vacancy comes up so when you say let him go - do you mean shake hands and call it day and walk away from the money Brentford would need to pay off his contract? |

Looks a logical connection with the KMac previous too. Think he’d qualify as u21 next season which helps with getting the right numbers. |

Even if there is a vacancy it’ll probably be the only job going in the Premier League so would imagine given the all the kudos and money that goes with that it won’t just be KMac in the frame for it. |

But it is just speculation and it really isn’t that intense at the moment so I’d say unless Ashton et al know differently that it’s business as usual.
The last thing McKenna said publicly about his future is that he’s staying. So that’s where we are. |

Where has he ‘clearly stated’ anything? I imagine if there’s some truth to this we’ve been given some encouragement and any way do you just want the club to target players who’d walk over broken glass and play for nothing because you know what we’ll have an absolute dog sh it team at that point. |

Not sure he could have proved his championship credentials much more than he did to be honest.
There’s an argument also that he’ll be better qualified after a season in the premier league. Could certainly see that some premier league teams could be very interested should they have a vacancy.
As much as we’d like it to be different I think there will be speculation and links in the not too distant future. |

To be absolutely clear I’m not saying the deal for Delap was a bad deal.
If you context the Delap deal versus the others we did in terms of ROI it absolutely spanks every other transfer we did this season and would be up there with the best we’ve ever done. It would be nice if it had been better but I presume we did what we could.
But I’d maintain that Ashton could have done a lot better with the well protected interview. |

If nothing else quite a few squad players have to leave as we are well over the 25 man squad limit if we’re assuming as we’d hope Axel, Burgess and Cajuste stay.
