If only her first name was Virginia, and she was best friends with former Alpine skier Fanny Chmelar.

Healing well, according to the medic I saw today. Small enough not to need a skin graft, so that's a relief. Just have to keep going back and get the deeply burnt bit gradually and gently excised, so the proper wound healing can begin.

The one advantage (if you can call it that) of a full thickness burn, is that they don't hurt much, as the nerve endings have been damaged. I'm determined to find a silver lining! 😂

That's extremely interesting and very good to know if it ever happens again (I'd like to think it won't).

I guess in the panic I just went for the water, but if it was a bigger burn, the 'wipe off first' tactic would have significant effects on the severity and size of the burns.

They supplied industrial rubber gloves, but the bottle had no mention of other PPE requirements. Needless to say, my boss has said not to use the stuff again, and it will be going in the accident book, etc.

Thankfully I was able to flush it with water straight away, but the small burn it left was full thickness. Scary.

Only a tiny drop of industrial drain cleaner, splashed on my t-shirt. I'd doused water on it within 10 seconds of feeling the burn, but it is now a 3rd degree burn requiring follow up hospital care.

It literally melted a 6 inch hole in my t-shirt, but thankfully just a 1p sized hole in my stomach skin, due to me being right next to a cold water tap.

Please, if you use industrial chemicals, don't underestimate their danger. It's shocking how corrosive that stuff is.

Following the JET thread, how about a Town Reprobate XI?
at 00:03 23 May 2025

So far, a pretty heavyweight squad of delinquents. JET and Zondervan are probably the only true show ponies, and we definitely lack some silky skills in midfield.

Loving all the defenders being suggested. All in the strong forearms category. Roy Keane would be proud.

If we were doing a reprobate Town XI, we'd need to include Gary Croft, the first pro player to have an ankle tag, I believe.

People can say what they like about whether the elbow w was intentional, but the reality is, only Tyrone knows. I say give hime the benefit of the doubt. Je is not a nasty player, generally.

Muric - Persevere or Not
at 21:24 5 May 2025

Persevere. There have been plenty of keepers in the past who've had dodgy spells.

I think David James is a prime example. I just wish our fans were different to every other fan base that vilifies the keeper for a poor spell (e.g.Andy Marshall) which makes it really, really hard to come back with confidence, in the most magnified position on the pitch.

Muric has huge potential. I rate him at 50% possibly of obtaining it, but a more reasonable and less reactive fan base is pivotal to his success.

Great tournament, and really pleased that Williams took the first 4 frames in the final session. It made it much more entertaining.

Xintong is a super talent though. Glad he has worked so hard to turn his life around.

Makes you think of a number of footballers who have messed up their careers and never quite managed to make it back.

He deserves a lot of credit for seizing his second chance and working really hard to achieve what he has. Good luck to him.

Not sure why you have to call out his religious beliefs. Totally irrelevant to his job.

300 women? I'd say it affects far more than that, in the football pyramid. From 12/13 years old upwards.
