| News Comment | Best: Mick's the Perfect Boss for Me at 12:46:04
I am hopeful that Leon can hit the ground running as he obviously has ability, but seems to have lost his way a bit. I do wonder though considering Mick's tough talking approach to professionalism that he allows his new signing to address a press conference dressed in a basketball vest, just doesn't quite strike me as the most professional way of engaging with the media. Every other player we see interviewed is kitted out in town training kit, why does Leon get a free licence to do what he wants? |

I too work with a Rovers fan, and he is relieved that i wont be around the day after to rub his nose in it! Should be an easy path to the next round, where we can draw Birmingham possibly managed by Keane?? |
| News Comment | Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Halmosi at 18:38:09
I live in Plymouth and from the time he was at Argyle I woud definately think he would be worth a punt on loan, I know we have Civelli coming back soon but Halmosi is a good stand-in while we wait for Civelli to get back to full match fitness. He is direct, pacy and has a fair amount of skill. Also scores too which is always a bonus. Would be able to link up with Chuck as those two along with Ebanks Blake were Argyles best three players by a country mile. |

Taking my little girl to her first match today, we live in Plymouth so getting to PR is hard, I have a good feeling about today, think we will win 3-1. Be nice to see Mariner too, I am sure he will get a good reception from the Town faithful. |
| News Comment | Town Chasing Derby Defender at 11:17:52
Watched him at Plymouth a few times and he always looked solid, has a bit of pace and likes to get forward, would be a good signing, I know the Janners down here were sorry to see him go when he left for Derby. |
| News Comment | Keane: No Complaints at Result and Looking at Up to Four Signings at 11:18:09
My Dad and I travelled all the way up from Plymouth yesterday to watch the match (6 hours each way) hoping that the Prston match was going to be the catalyst for our season getting going. I hav to say that the negatives outwayed the positives. I know it is early days under Keane but I was really hoping for more than what we got to watch. I was really impressed with Colback as he is obviously a decent player. Gets stuck in, passes the ball with pace and has a desire to win the ball and play it. Our best outfield player by a long way. Pabs did a good job of holding the ball up and felt he deserved to score. Priskin looked a little lost at times, but that will improve with time, strikers need time to gel and get to know each others games, too many times Tamas and Pabs were going for the same ball. Martin and Walters did ok in spells. If Martin was built like Walters he would be a frightening prospect to play against. Just a little too light weight although having said that it doesnt stop him throwing himself into challenges. They are also direct and look to go past players which is encouraging. Now the negatives. Trotter, has the no vision in my opinion, he throws hisself in to tackles and can be reasonable producutive doing that, however as soon as he gets the ball if he plays a ball further than 10 yards it goes to an opposition player. I cant remember him finding one of our players once through the whole game. He has all the physical attributes to be a decent CC player but I am sorry to say he is not putting all together. Defence? What can i say? McCauley moves like he has been shot with a horse tranquiliser, slow, pedestrian and his distribution was way off. He can however head the ball, but just not to one of our players! Pim played ok I suppose, again looks lacking in confidence and his distribution was wayward too. Bruce played well but looked liek he felt uncomfortable playing out of position, hes a CB so play him there instead of McCauley. Tommy Smith was the player I was most disappointed with, I had read good things about him and was pleased to hear his name on the team sheet in place of Delaney. Unfortunately he didnt live up to expectations. I may be wrong but having watched the game I feel he has no pace, no vision and cant play a ball further than 10 yards (similair to Trotter). You could see Martin getting frustrated with him a number of times during the match. Wrighty was as usual excellent and kept us in the game again! He is our one and only premiership quality player. Substitues? Stead didnt look like he wanted to play, Quinn showed industry and a desire to get at them which was good and Wickham didnt get into the game at all, lots of pressure on his shoulders at the moment which I dont think helps. I feel like my negatives outway the positives too much in my post but I have to say that both my Dad and I were so disappointed that we couldnt kill them off especially when they went down to 10 men. We need atleast 4 new players, CB, CM, STRIKER, LB |

Mcmanus would be a good signing but I am trying not to get excited about it before I see him walk out on the pitch wearing the shirt! Dont know much about Leadbitter Dobbie but fingers crossed he will be the no nonsense midfielder we desperately need. |
| News Comment | Striking Options for Keane Ahead of Leicester at 18:41:29
4-3-3 is good with me as long as we use it as an attacking choice and dont revert to a 4-5-1 at the first sign of trouble, with the players we have now we should be looking to overpower teams not nick a 1-0. Prediction 3-1 Town, scorers - Stead, Walters and Wickham Need to get some form going before me and the old man make the long trip from Argyle country to see Town take on Preston on the 29th. |
| News Comment | Brian Murphy Has Town Medical at 12:23:50
Well said Manic_Blue, you cant plan to go through a full championship season with just 2 keepers, even if the two we have are good quality. Injury, suspension or unforeseen circumstances do happen. I dont fancy seeing us play an outfield player in goal if situations go against us. Also glad it wasnt Daryl Murphy, the guy obviously doenst want to play for us, because if he did he would have signed when we were in for him first time round. |
| News Comment | Keane: The Target is Promotion at 13:39:35
Cant see Gio coming back to us with options to go abroad on the table for him. Hear that Galatassary are now in for him. Nice to hear Keane being his usual confident self and setting his stall out early. I have reserved judgement on Keane up to now but with our game against Cov only 2 days away I am starting to believe we could actually live up to our promise!! Bring it on!!! |

If the Priskin deal goes through then its a good bit of business, he looks pretty tasty and from reading the feedback from Watford fans he looks like he will be missed! |
