 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Report at 17:12:05
The worst possible way to lose this game, but entirely unsurprising. 25 points dropped from winning positions is a pathetic return no matter what league you’re in. That’s without evening touching on the club record 6 league home game losses in a row… Not the season to remember and enjoy like we all hoped it would be. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Three Really, Really Bad Goals Before Half-Time at 18:40:39
the players - and especially defence - are not premier league quality, rightly or wrongly, perhaps through no fault of the players. we can try play like we did at Arsenal away for every game, but there would be an equal amount of moaning. the quicker we all accept we are not at premier league level, the easier it will be to accept we will be playing in the Championship next season. bring it on.... |
 | News Comment | Szmodics: Road to Recovery Begins at 20:05:40
best wishes for recovery but we really need to ask why we're having a few injury recurrences this season? a mixture of over intense training and poor medical practices? something like that shouldn't happen 3 times (fulham, coventry and then man united!) in professional sport! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Sickening Result at 19:47:54
Losing to Southampton at home sealed our fate. I said at the time that I didn't think we would recover mentally from that, and it's turning out to be the case. To be fair, losing at home to a team that could end up with the lowest ever Premier League points tally leaves us deserving nothing more than relegation. If we keep most of our front line, however, we could cause carnage in the Championship next season, which is a lot more exciting than another season of this... |
 | News Comment | Woolfenden: We Need to Learn the Dark Arts at 19:37:30
So happy for Wolfy who's proved he's up to PL standard. Another good game from him today. We're simply a better team when he plays. For all those saying he should leave when we were in January transfer window, hang your head in shame. |
 | News Comment | Nottingham Forest 1-1 (AET, 5-4 on Pens) Ipswich Town at 23:19:46
@jcb2007 Spot on with the Morsy comment. He is a player which can only play when he is given time and space, which Forest give everyone. Hence, he looked back to his usual powers tonight but don't expect it to last. Still, he scored a lovely pen! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We've Managed and Played the Second Half Really Poorly at 23:36:15
When are we going to take any of these “positives” and “learnings” into the next game? We’ve actually got worse as the season has progressed. The second half tonight was echoes of Paul Lambert era football and it was beyond painful to watch. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur - Match Report at 17:38:42
P.S. i called Godfrey a terrible signing on the day he joined, 93 minutes from September to January with Atalanta then jumping into the premier league, never going to happen in a million years, Harry Clarke was and still is a much better option! Another poor McKenna decision I am afraid to say... |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur - Match Report at 17:33:52
An early goal from us *could* have changed it, but... Godfrey not good enough, Clarke not good enough, second home game in a row where we have not had a shot on target in the second half. That's simply not good enough, and at times, Spurs were there for the taking. Ending the pitch with 5 of the league 1 team out there... Thanks for the journey boys, but we're just not good enough to compete at this level. |
 | News Comment | Palmer: Time For Me to Embrace a New Challenge at 12:25:40
One of Muric's many faults was his complete lack of communication with the backline so it's a breath of fresh air to hear what he describes his strengths as! I'm excited to see him line up at Cov this Saturday. |
 | News Comment | Woolfenden Signs New Deal at 15:39:39
Through the worst of times into the best of times. He’s seen it all and he’s one of our own. Well in buh, made up for the lad. |
 | News Comment | Walton Nominated For January Save of the Month at 18:43:21
How one players reputation has increased that much from simply not okay is astounding. Mount highest errors leading to goals (5!!!) and not played since the Arsenal game. Neither of our keepers are good enough, unfortunately- Muric definitely is not the answer. The defence 100% are more in control with the ball at Walton’s feat, for that reason alone I’d want him to continue. |
 | News Comment | Burns: My Role This Year is Slightly Different at 14:26:59
I love Wesley but for a big lad, he gets pushed off the ball and out muscled far too easily. Leicester at home springs to mind, but he's served the club so so well and scored in both promotion clinching games so he will go down as a modern day ITFC legend. |
 | News Comment | Wednesday Eyeing Clarke at 19:23:06
Yesterday Wolfy, today Harry. Are they trying to rip the heart from our club? If you solely judge Harry on that Brentford performance (his PL debut) then that shows the level of your football IQ. I 100% think he has potential to do a good job at RWB in this new system we are playing. Bringing in someone like Godfrey (36 games in 3.5 seasons) to replace the like of Harry/Wolfy is truly heartbreaking. |
 | News Comment | Sheffield United Eyeing Woolfenden at 20:46:50
This would break my heart. It’s been so good seeing him back in the team recently and he’s fully deserved to keep his place. Adds a calmness and assurance that we miss when he’s not there. ITFC through and through. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Godfrey Loan Signing at 16:30:39
Signing someone, in a position we don’t need cover in, that’s played 36 games in the last THREE (93 mins in all comps this season!!!) is utterly ridiculous. Let’s hope he’s only there for emergency cover and to push Harry and Ben further… |
