Owner Evans Determined to Keep Judge and Dozzell at Portman Road
at 18:35:21

I'm sure Paul Lambert has told Mr Evans that loosing 2 important players this late into pre season would have a major impact, Judge is crucial to the squad and our chances of promotion him moving on for below 2.5 million would be ridiculous and fingers crossed Mr Evans has learnt from last seasons mistakes

, I'm sure Judge is still onboard with Paul's plans He only signed the 2 year deal in April
I think Reading between the lines Paul has told Mr Evans of his frustrations In the slow nature of getting new faces through the door let's hope we have at least 2 more additions before the opener next week 🤞

Town's Judge Price Tag Too High for QPR?
at 13:33:45

750k for an international player 😳

Like I said previous, in this crazy market he can't go for less than £2.5 million it would be disastrous and who the hell are we gonna buy to replace him with that money? That's if Evans is even going to reinvest,

what started for me as a strangely positive start (after what was the worst season in ITFC history) with securing judge and then landing Norwood, now with all the injuries and lack of new faces into Portman road to have time to gel and bed into the team I really fear we are going to struggle this season 😔

Evans you got us into this position with over 10 years of poor decisions it's now time for you to learn from your mistakes and invest back into this squad, us fans aren't expecting you to throw million and millions into the squad but we are expecting more than what you are doing right now.

Falling into league 1 and The 9 million downfall in revenue is your doing
It's down to you to cough up and get us out of this mess

Lambert: Dozzell Would Cost a Helluva Lot of Money
at 23:01:11

With judge on his way for peanuts because he has gone to the manager saying he wants out , it will be suicide for our promotion chances if both these players exit the club at this late stage of pre season without Evans reinvesting into our already inexperienced and thin squad

Lambert: Judge Has Indicated He'd Like the Opportunity
at 22:57:03

Likewise Foreverbluesince1996 I thought with judge signing and committing to the Town that he was going to return the favour that we gave him to get regular football and an opportunity. Looks like he is going to go with money and less travel and then get a second relegation with QPR

If he goes for less than 2.5 million in what is a crazy market then something is drastically wrong behind the scenes at Portman road

The only way Evans can please us fans is to get a good deal done for a player that wants out and reinvest the fee into our desperately thin squad

Notts County 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:51:00

Another workout and hopefully another 90 minutes where Paul lambert and his staff has analysed the weakness in the squad (defence). another injury 😔 got to feel sorry for Nydam what is it with Ipswich and injuries.
We need at least 2 more in before the start of the season and now with the announcement from lambert that Judge wants out I'm starting to loose some of my early optimism, if Judge goes to QPR for less than 2.5 million we are in big trouble as I can't see Evans paying out to replace him, like I said recently a lot of season tickets were sold on the fact that Ipswich and Evans showed us some ambition when securing judge on a 2 year deal. Letting him go for peanuts and not reinvesting is going to cause much upset

Dolphin blue , Ipswich has been struck with some terrible luck on the injury front and we are overdue some good luck, I have a feeling Huws is gonna come good this season and be a key player Bishop on the other hand... I really hope he recovers as his a fantastic player but I think his body is telling him that he can't cut it, Hope I'm wrong 😔

New Judge Bid Rejected Report
at 19:14:48

This whole scenario feels very familiar... (Waghorn last year)
It didn't get dealt with properly last season let's hope some lessons have been learned this year,
Paul lambert/Marcus Evans must go public and bang a price tag on his head £3 million negotiating with QPR and don't let him go for less than £2.5million.

This must be dealt with ASAP many season tickets were sold on the basis that Ipswich showed ambition in signing him, the only way us fans are not going to be disappointed and disillusioned is if we keep him at Portman road or get a significant fee fast and the money reinvested back into the squad. Over to you Mr Evans...

Blues Offer Dozzell New Deal With Canaries Among Premier League Clubs Showing Interest
at 18:53:06

We have plenty of midfielders a lot at a similar level, Dozzell is class no denying it and has some silky passing but I've always thought he is light weight and that injury has not helped. I would be more upset to see Judge go to be honest as he is at the level we need already and we ain't gonna replace him with the terrible offers in from QPR, Dozzell shouldn't be let go for less than 6 million in today's crazy market and as for Judge well we shouldn't even consider letting him go for less than 3 million. The biggest question though is if these players do move on then does that mean Paul gets a nice fat war chest to actually sign the players we need to get out of this league, over to you Mr Evans...

Ipswich Town 0-2 Hull City - Match Report
at 18:39:15

Wtf something has drastically changed since the international break. Lamberts press conference on BBC radio Suffolk, what was that all about? and the team selection and tactics today.

What's happened to Harrison (is he still injured?) we needed 2 strikers up front come the second and should have taken the fight to hull,

Dozzell baffles me this again was another opportunity for him to show what his about and all we saw in 60 odd minutes were a few flashes. I'm extremely worried about our great club if we end the season and lambert leaves, we need stability.

Perhaps PL isn't happy with what Marcus Evans is planning next season but something has definitely happen in the last couple of weeks for that kind of press conference feeling completely dejected

Ipswich Town 2-3 Millwall - Match Report
at 17:44:10

I'm fully behind Paul Lambert and the squad, but let's face it we are doomed to relegation and that's down to the owner and the poor investment and choices he has made over the last 10 years.

This stems right back to the sacking of Jim Magilton and the appointment of Roy Keane which was done to promote the Marcus Evans name and get Ipswich back in the papers. Then when the Keane era soured we end up with a manger that had been out of football for years and that showed in Paul Jewels signings!

I thought Mick McCarthy was a good choice for the predicament the club was in but he stayed manager for far to long he should have left 2 seasons sooner than he did. Us the fans deserved more and when Mick left we should have got a manager that got financial backing.

Paul Hurst was a massive risk and to be allowed to sell all the experience (and goals) out of the club to be replaced with way to many players lacking experience at this level. Paul Lambert is the best manager this club has had since Joe Royal I just pray that he stays whatever the outcome. We need millions spent to have any chance of survival which we all know isn't going to happen Mr Evans didn't spend in the January window of the play off season where we possibly could have won automatic promotion with our position at the time. I know football is loads of if buts and maybes but one thing is certain Ipswich town will be playing 3rd Division football for the first time in 57 years

I just don't understand the motivation how a multimillionaire who is in the top 50 UK Rich list buys a football club and is reluctant to spend money surly these rich business men that buy football clubs realise that you need to have an open wallet to succeed in modern football.

Marcus Evans investment since the play offs has been laughable and now we are seeing that poor investment on the pitch. All talent at Portman road has been sold on in recent years, that's fine being a selling club if your going to invest proper money into the 1st team squad. Realistically in January (a terrible window to purchase players) Evans is going to have to pay through his teeth to get proven championship players to play for our club.

I can see his excuses now when in the next 6 games if we haven't taken a minium of 9 points we will be relegated by January he will make a public statement that he is planning for league 1 football

You can't expect fans to pay top championship ticket prices to watch league 1/2 quality football

Lambert: We Have to Stop the Basic Defensive Errors

Drop Spense, drop Chalobah
Give Donacien a chance at right back and pick Bishop or Dozzell to replace Chalobah as we need more creativity in the middle

Marcus Evans is to blame for the total lack of investment in the last few years. Today's football requires money being spent. The table dosent lie we are one of the smallest spenders in the championship. So many Teams that only a couple of seasons ago were below Ipswich have now leap frogged us it's no coincidence that these clubs have spent money and invested into there first teams

Wow that has got to be one of the most embarrassing defensive displays I've ever seen
Jordan spence is the weak link in my opinion he has no desire or passion and just plods through games he has been awful in each of the 4 games lambert has been in command. Teams that play us know that down the right is our weakness,

BART has been poor but a goal keeper is only as good as the defenders in front of him. It didn't help that Pennington had his worst game in an Ipswich shirt

If only a few more players showed the passion and desire of Freddy Sears and we would have a half chance of climbing the table.

To many people holding on to the January transfer window but with six games to go until then the damage could already be done

Spence must be replaced by Donacien on Saturday and Chalobah dropped for one of our own the midfield is to defensive minded we need more creativity in the middle

Ipswich Town 0-0 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report
at 19:00:12

Bluebudgie I agree but who is going to want to buy Ipswich Town in the state its currently in?

I believe that Marcus Evans is to blame for the downfall of this club with his lack of proper investment over the last few seasons. and when we look back at the positive time when Mick was here if Evans had invested more it could have been a whole different game now.

To stay competitive in this league you need to invest millions into the squad it's that simple. Evans purchased this football club and isn't the reason for the rich to buy clubs to spend there millions and get success.

Unfortunately the days are long gone when a small club can make it big in a league with next to no investment it happens less and less

Rumours that the dressing room is unsettled and senior players and coaches questioning the mangement is worrying and there can't be smoke without a 🔥
Is it just a coincidence that since these rumours started that the performance on the pitch has got worse?

To many changes to players in the starting eleven and to many changes in tactics has caused most of these problems in my opinion.

Hurst has said more than once he believes in his plan, I'm not convinced as his game plan has changed from high pressing football playing the ball on the floor to hit it long to a chasing Jackson. This change isn't working as Jackson though is quick his touch, hold up play and general football brain is not at championship level.

To many changes each game and not knowing his best 11, this is a manager out of his depth. I really like Paul Hurst but how many more games can we go without a decent points tally before it's to late

Hurst Fumes After Cup Defeat
at 08:31:50

Time...
Thats what the players need to gel and the manager requires to get these players believing in the football he and his coaching staff are trying to bring to the club.

I dont buy the whole "buy league one players get a league one team" these are players that were at the top of there game and some of the best players in league 1 last year. Surly this is what the majority of fans including myself have been calling out for! a young and hungry squad of players that are playing football rather than Hoofball.

This is going to be a roller coaster season of transition but i have the faith that coming into the second half of the season we will see a very strong and talented young squad. competing in the championship.

My only concern is that we need better wingers if we are going to stick with 1 striker up front Ward and sears are just not good enough in these positions.

come on you Blues...
