El Miz and Dobra

Should we really be letting go of young players who have shown potential at this level? Dobra now apparently training with the national team for Albania (who were not far off qualifying for the Euros) and El Miz with a previous appearance for Tunisia.

Yes, they haven't had many chances in the team because of our situation (and also Colchester's situation last season) and needing results quickly, but I fail to see what we gain by letting them leave when they could be assets and get some solid experience in the cup competitions or off the bench. I just refuse to believe that there aren't players in them.

It's like Will Keane or even Drinan leaving (or several others to be honest) and suddenly turning into decent players.

This loan has been useless for his development. Fans complaining that he and a Fulham player haven't played at all, just been kept on the bench.

Forced him out for no reason when he would probably have had more progress playing for the U23s than sitting on Colchester's crap benches.

The Dobra situation

Surely the club have simply not allowed him to go to a League 1 club on loan? Can't see any other reason why he would choose a League 2 side when Wimbledon and Gillingham were interested.

Can imagine they're not keen on the idea of loaning him out to a League 1 club if he plays well for them as the club will be left with egg on their face.

Especially when this is League 1.

The real issue here is that even if he gets a 4W 1D record in the next 5 games (which is unlikely, let's be honest), continuing that same record would still only just about scrape us into last season's playoff positions...

Why? Seems like that was 80% of our tactics today. Pass in defence then let Hladky boot it up to their goalkeeper. Our wingers and strikers are relatively small, not massive target men.

Do we actually need him or is he still meant to be coming? We should be saving those squad spots for defenders and defensive midfielders now. Makes absolutely no sense if he is still to come in... we need a defensive midfielder and 2 defenders as a minimum.
