| News Comment | Town Target Garvan Return at 13:09:18
Get him in! Decent player who would of matured and improved so much since leaving Town (when he was an alright player anyway). Play him alongside Skuse who would sit and do the defensive work, leaving Garvan free to spray the ball around. Hopefully this would make us a little more attacking (if we sign him) - something we desperately need. Hyam could then be used as back-up, which in fairness is about his level! |
| News Comment | Palace Still Interested in McGoldrick at 12:59:41
Hmm if McGoldrick goes, we'll be in big trouble. We're already in desperate need of a decent striker to partner him as Taylor clearly isn't valued by MM (although talented), Murphy is very average at best (and won't score enough goals to push for the play offs) and Nouble, well I'm amazed the man is paid a wage to be a footballer - he's shocking! I hope we keep McGoldrick, Ebanks-Blake returns from injury and stays injur free for the rest of the season and either; sign another decent striker or, bring Marriott back and give him some games. Also hopeful we sign a half decent attacking midfielder as Luke Hyam is NOT the answer! |
| News Comment | Woody Working Doubly Hard to Get Fit at 15:43:31
I can't wait for Wordsworth to be fit again. He looked decent at the end of last season and we could certainly do with him now, as we've got nobody playing in an attacking midfield role with any real ability. Luke Hyam simply isn't good enough to be in a promotion chasing team - please hurry back Wordy!!! |
| News Comment | Town 1-2 Wolves at 17:33:09
Agree with dreblue. One up top does not work it just leaves Chopra chasing lost causes and running himself into the ground. First half was ok and as mentioned Martin played well but this was just another example of how we miss Bullards creativity. Still hoping we sign a creative midfielder and cb/rb before the season starts. Come on Jewell son you've done a great job so far, keep it up! |
| News Comment | Bury Town 2-3 Town XI at 08:50:08
There's a surprise.....Civelli and Peters have no impact on the game. It's because they are both terrible footballers, I honestly can't believe that Peters is even professional, his ability is laughable at times. Sums him up that he cannot even shine against teams like Leiston and Bury. Do us a favour PJ son....get shot of these two please. I'd rather see o'connor stay, at least he's got a bit about him!! |
| News Comment | Chopra Deal Done at 17:12:31
Absolutely loving this signing but let's not get carried away, we still need a few more quality players to follow. Hopefully having chops here will help with that, finally things could start looking up again for the MIGHTY TOWN! |
| News Comment | Preston\'s Treacy Again Linked With Town Move at 21:28:52
Firstly I never said sign anyone, I said someone....preferably one of the decent players we keep getting linked with. Secondly I don't play either CM or FM but a decent effort at stereotyping. Thirdly I do apologise for having a loss of patients however 4-5 average to poor seasons with plenty of money spent and little reward will do that to ya. Finally I really don't see the need for Clegg he is an expensive waste of time, he is only here to enhance the image of the club from the corporate side of things. Even Roy Keane was rumoured to get decent players here but Clegg didn't get the deals done. If Evans isn't prepared to take a risk then why bring in the big profile managers to build up the hype? Surely his wage could go towards better players! |
| News Comment | Preston\'s Treacy Again Linked With Town Move at 11:49:34
Just sign someone for christ sake, they wonder why the season ticket sales are lower than last season......we're fed up of false hope! Sign St Ledger, sign this lad, sign a decent striker or two and do it before all the decent ones are gone. Clegg has no idea how to operate in the football world, get rid of him! |
| News Comment | Burley Hopeful He Can Take Garvan to Palace at 10:18:42
Oh dear, i have a feeling we are gonna regret this move should it go through and Garvan will go on to be a decent player for palace. I'm not sure what games some of our seriously un-football minded "fans" are watching but Garvan is the only decent passer of the ball we have in the team, who cares about pace? is Xavi Alonso fast? NO, that's not his game and nor is it Garvans. I wish you luck lad maybe playing for a manager that appreciates your ability will enhance your obvious talent! |
