Man City away trips in the 1980s

A very long shot here.

Does anyone remember going to the City away matches in the 1980s and going to stopping at the Slaters in Timperley for the northern delicacy of hotpot and red cabbage?

We knew them through Dave and Crimson Timpson.

Sadly my Dad, Roy Slater, died a few years ago but my mum, Sheila, is still very much alive. We got to talking about the trips yesterday whilst watching the match.

Hopefully someone out there does.
