O'Shea: I'm Fully Committed to Town at the Moment
at 14:38:22

Some right drama queens on here.
He says "fully committed to Ipswich at the moment" but clarifies with "I want to get the club back into the Premier League..." so along with discussing next season with KM, that's at least a season with us before he asses his options.
He's every intention of being here next season and hopefully help us get back to the Prem.
Some things really don't need explaining, but then again a bag of peanuts has to have warning labels about containing nuts. Plenty of those on here.

Need to bite the bullet on building the new stands ASAP before we return to the prem. Need every penny of income we can for our return to stand a chance of getting in players of the calibre we need to remain, so increased capacity is a must.

Town Apply For Retrospective Portman Road Planning Permission
at 13:14:56

Can you imagine if we had to wait until we'd scoped and proposed all those permissions & waited for approval before we could do any of it? We'd probably still be waiting now & years to come because of all the bureaucracy involved in something like that.
Ask for forgiveness later was definitely the way to go.

Town Accounts Show £39.3m Loss and Turnover Increase By 71 Per Cent
at 09:45:57

I'm sure accountancy and tax experts can clarify but am I right in recalling there are tax "benefits" to do with offsetting losses to other parts of a business, and not necessarily that business?
I seem recall Marcus Evans offsetting losses against his other business interests or getting financial breaks or benefits of some sort.
Vague, I know, but I'm not sure its a straight loss as it seems, there are ways to mitigate the amounts to lessen the blow.

Keane: We Knew It Would Have Been a Stretch to Sign Sol

A stretch?
Did Keane & Evans think a 35 year old Sol Campbell signing on loan from a L2 club he had walked out only after 5 days at was a good thing for the club then?

McKenna: Hutchinson Injury Significant But Not Serious
at 07:54:33

Dangerous challenges like that deserve points deductions on top of criminal charges. Players will think twice if their teammates & fans have to suffer & they get on their backs for it. That was professional assault & Dorgo knew what he was doing. Two minor yellows for a red don't compare to that kind of red challenge. Red fallout & a few games don't compensate us for Hutchs loss. Could be the difference between a chance to stay up or not. Club & player assaulted should get any fine money, & double it. Clearly wasn't an accidental tackle & needs seriously stamping out before careers get ended.

McKenna: We Watched United Game Back as a Group
at 07:44:05

McKenna is limited by the constraints he's had put on him by rules & regs & conditions outside the clubs control. His spending power is capped, otherwise if the field was level & we were able to assemble a £1B+ team with our £11B kitty, we'd be top of the league now. The guys working with what he's got & ragtag bunch of cheaper players adapting as best they can with him. This is an evolutionary team, not a finished one. He's a victim of his own success, not failure. He got us to where we wanted him to get us but constrained by the usual time to build & tweak a squad over a few seasons per promotion. Not having a slower evolution has the downsides were seeing of a ton of newer players coming in & getting used to syncing with eachother. We complained about this a few seasons back & look at what happened once KM got them syncing.
If we don't stay up this season, we'll be synced for next & a much stronger & better prepared club & players for the Prem. This is a long haul plan being adapted to a shorthaul time frame as best it can. KM will fix it. We will continue to climb overall but sometimes you find a dip or two before you get to the pinnacle.
