Charlton Defender Linked
at 09:58:33

heard that this guy is absolutely brilliant from some CAFC fans so even if we have CB's already i'd love him here. They're trying to extend his contract but owner is unwilling to match his salary expectations so...don't know how much Mick would offer seeing we've already got players in the position. But good player.

Murphy Unused Sub
at 12:18:24

I'd like Green back if we can get him on a good deal, he still has the hungerand he had a few occasional games where he did well - Burnley he was teriffic in clearing up play as for Nouble - stop the hating hes an absolute badman. He was also a great impact player for us, particularly at the end of last season. His finishing is...horrendous...but he can create chances and he has pace and power - more of a winger with some aerial presence in my opinion, but the point is he's really not a bad player!

Smith Planning Ahead
at 09:09:02

i agree that subsidising the courses is probaby a bit unecessary but good on Tommy for furthering his education. I often forget that he's still only 23, nice to know he's planning ahead and he's got a good head on his shoulders.

McCarthy: No Wholesale Changes at Yeovil
at 11:37:10

Gerken
Chambers Berra Smith Cresswell
Taylor Hyam (Williams) Skuse Hunt
Murphy SEB
- Chambers is our best RB even if he struggled on Saturday, sorry Richardson. Berra our best CB by a length. Taylor has flair and puts in a shift, Hyam and Skuse we know what we're going to get, as with Hunty. Murphy been good this season, SEB needs a 90min chance and he's done it before.

Ticket Promotion for Wigan Game
at 09:49:35

hm... I'll never forget match vs Middlesbrough being called off a while ago and then being offered no refund followed but instead money off the replay...which i couldnt then go to, and thats my whole family not just me so we lost some reasonable money. And we were so going to win that game :(

Berra: Chance to Move On Up
at 08:32:49

Nice to hear some confident chat from Berra, hopefully the rest of the squad are feeling good too. This is an important game though as Surco72 says, a win could really help us in the next 2 games and could rake in the points. If we lose however i wonder just how long we can stay confident - especially with such a fantastic support going down to Charlton

Mings Will Replace Cresswell If He Moves On
at 08:27:59

would be frustrating to lose a good player in Cressy but i agree with townietillidie that i thought TY was pretty good against Leicester. Plus if it does mean being able to reinvest in the squad then maybe it would actually benefit us in the long-run, especially with TY being so young. Also i think it largely was Stearman, he was brilliant last season and Chambo at CB was also brilliant. I'm still a little annoyed that Chambers is playing at RB because i honestly think he is about as good and solid as they come in the centre

Blues Linked With Deadline Move for Villa Youngster

can't say i've ever seen him in action but hopefully a bit of flair and pace on the wings is what MM is going for - especially with someone the presence of Murph in the centre

McCarthy Delighted With Mings
at 15:14:03

Mings was by no means bad on saturday, but he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. First 20 minutes i would say he was the best player on the pitch - great ball playing LB with loads of confidence and got into some attacking areas. He took a bad touch in their box when he had a reasonable chance to score though and at that point he seemed to start losing confidence and his positioning went off...i wouldnt liken him to Crezzy or Hewitt, he's a different style but in honesty i prefer the way he play to either of the other two - he's a very direct player. Just a matter of opinion though and he's obviously still got a long way to go before he becomes 1st choice

U21s Win First Game of the Season
at 15:10:49

good to finally win...got to ask why it is that we're finding it so hard to win there though. On another note good to see Wordsworth scoring twice...he hasnt gone on loan yet - MM seen something in the last few weeks which is making him think twice?

McCarthy Could Use New System Again
at 12:02:09

All nice to hear. Berra and Chambers im sure would be fine together at CB come Leicester - hopefully Chambers can readjust quickly from his recent RB position. MM has a choice that he could risk playing Smith after recently coming back, but its a nice choice. I suppose it depends slightly on how different the system is Tommy would be playinn in and how much he needs to get used to it.

Hunt Signing to Allow Wordsworth Loan
at 11:58:03

@Tractorog i also agree but i think Woody lacks confidence and maybe he needs to prove himself. Hunt is proven, experienced and of course is a great character - apparently confident as well. Sounds fair enough to let Woody go out on loan and come back to try and challenge, just till January when a decision is made on Hunts contract. Up the town.

McGoldrick: Jack's Like a Young Michael Owen
at 18:43:41

i want to see him in a blue shirt playing for us asap, experience can only help. But, Mick obviously sees more of him day in day out than anyone. If Mick feels he's ready, he'll put him in the team. Marriott just needs to keep playing for the U21's and scoring goals and eventually he'll force Mick to give him the chance. Also, he is pushing for that place on the bench and so he must be improving so i dont see what need there is for him to go out on loan, having TC coaching him im sure will be doing him wonders. IN MICK WE TRUST, if i need to remind anyone.
