Keane Closing in On Loan Signings
at 12:30:08

If Walters leaves us for another Championship side, I will lose all respect for the guy. If he moves to Premiership club I could respect the fact he wants to progress and play at the highest level etc.
Me and a friend were talking about possible captain replacement for him, for me it had to be David Norris, but wouldn't be surprised if it would be Leadbitter

Keane Yet to Decide on Brazilian Trialist

I saw him play at Leiston, nothing fancy nor did he catch the eye really. Not worth signing on that performance IMO.

Also if he wants to go, then so be it, but don't sell him for anything less than at less 2m-2.5m

Bruce Makes Shock Leeds Switch
at 15:50:16

Lightingboy- You are absolutely spot on mate. I just watched his first interview when he joined the club where he released 13 players saying that he would likely bring in players that he's either; played against, managed or managed his team against. He also said he would always show the fans respect. He didn't on the final game of the season when he couldn't be bothered to come on the pitch and clap the fans. That kind of narrows certain players down to a point. I simply do not believe he is capable of attracting players to the club at the moment, and do not believe we're a attractive option for players to join. Is that because of Keane? Maybe.....
My concern is this. Yes he inherited a team that was full of average players on highly inflated wages for their ability (Alan Quinn springs to mind for an example) and has to reduce the wage budget before he can invest in players. But we were in a far better position for depth and cover last season and look how last season turned out!
He took the captaincy away from McAuley and gaves it to Bruce last season for a short spell. Now look at the predicament Bruce is in. He wants to leave and that's fair enough, but it makes me question Keane's man management skills or lack of. Players don't know if their coming or going! Stead for instance: Top goal scorer until he got sent off at Palace then loaned out. What did he do wrong?
I was at the Leiston game last night which, ok it was a friendly, but it was a lacklusted poor performance. If we've to got to focus on the youngsters coming through, which we may not have much choice with so many players leaving, Not one player impressed me last night and that's the truth.

Civelli and Quinn Injured as Blues Win at Leiston
at 08:31:03

I went last night and was really quite impressed with Leiston and thought they matched Ipswich in most departments. If you made the Ipswich players wear another shirt, you'd never of been able to figure out who were the supposed professional full-time team.
Lee Martin looked comfortable at Leiston's level (no offence to Leiston) and never shined above the rest of the players on the pitch considering he's supposedly a £2million worth player.
I was standing literally 4 feet away from Keane in the 2nd half, who didn't cut a very happy looking man at all, begrudgingly having pictures taken with fans etc.

Bruce\'s Blades Move Off
at 19:05:58

Mark & jas0999- I couldn't agree more with both you're comments. I'm sure Bruce will be disappointed as he obviously wants to leave. Personally I thought he was going to Sheff Utd as back up there and not first team. That's besides the point I guess, but I'm sure Bruce will give it his all while he's here. He's ability is questionable yes, but the one thing you can't doubt about Bruce is his detrimination. I'm intrigued as to the identity of the player we've missed out on? If that is the reason for the U-turn which I'm certain it is.

Charlton Linked With Town Pair
at 18:18:21

Lisbie is the one player I'd happily spend my hard earned wages on petrol, and personally drive him to The Valley! I hate to think how much we've wasted on wages on him in th last year or so. Were Col u paying his full wages last season? I doubt it!
As for Lee Martin- He was a mega disappointment last season, came with full of promise etc etc, and I've probably seen him play one good game in that time so far, and that was the pre-season against Real Sociedad or whoever it was we played from Spain last season.
For we paid for him and what he pay in wages, I'd truly love to see him come good this season. But I'm not holding out much hope.

Jones Confirms Kennedy Deal
at 15:14:55

keaneish- I still don't understand the logic myself even now. I've heard fans say it was to reduce the wage bill, but surely Wrighty wasn't one of the top earners like Ricahrd Wright was!? D.Wright was Mr Consistant and a bloody good professional. Ok he's lost pace now but surely Keane should of offered him another year contract for cover?

Jones Confirms Kennedy Deal
at 14:27:55

Maybe This is the sort of player O'Connor needs as a role model player to learn the trade from. Ok Kennedy is 34years old and maybe "over the hill", but for 75k it's not breaking the bank and may prove to pay off if it means O'Connor gets to shadow kennedy for a season or two.
Like others has said, thats LB sorted, I still think RB definitely requires strenghtening. I like Peters alot, but can he handle being the only RB in the squad all season with little natural cover for him? I don't think so.
People say we should of offered Rosenior a contract. The problem their was he was offered one in January which he turned down, saying he wanted to keep his options open till the summer. Keane took a dislike to this, if Rosenior wouldn't commit then, he was not interested at all, only wanting players that was fully committed to Ipswich Town.
I don't know what other fans feel about this but, I feel MC is a position that needs to be looked at. If Norris or Leadbitter get injured, who would be the natural replacement if Garvan goes which looks increasingly likely. Alan Quinn? Colin Healy!? Last season we had plenty of cover with players like Trotter, Colback, etc.
A new striker is of paramount importance but I'm not getting my hopes up on Chopra joining us, and I hope Keane has other idea's as well and not investing all his time just on Chopra. If Stead and Priskin go, what leaves just Pablo and Wickham.
Hope we have a clearer picture in the next week or so of what players are going and coming in. Keane and Clegg best be putting in the overtime!

Keane: Speculation Comes With the Territory
at 11:30:50

I couldn't give a rats arse what he makes of Man U and practically everyone else except Ipswich Town on Sky Sports news! I want to hear what he makes of ITFC! But he's publicity gold for the club when he's on Sky, what's the name you see behind him....Marcus Evans.
But at least he's realised that he needs to focus on us, not on who's going to win the prem, what he makes of Ireland blah blah blah.
And you're right Mr Keane, majority of the fans have been very patient so far and getting behind the club, lets hope the atmosphere is loud and proud tomorrow. Hard game but we desperately need 3 points

Clegg: I\'m Still Backing Keane
at 14:51:01

It's all well and good Marcus Evan's puppet coming out to support the man he wanted to replace Magilton (if you believe conspiracy theories it was Clegg's decision to appoint Keane, not Evans) but I want to know what our illustrious owner actually thinks. Surely it's time for one of his yearly letters to come out via the press in support for his manager?

Priskin Interested in Permanent QPR Move
at 14:46:54

Thanks Tractorog- It's been frustrating watching especially when I've stuck up for Priskin throughout the season saying to people every other week "he will come good, just give him time" and each week you see that his confidence and morale is ever slowly disappearing. He needs to put this season behind him and hope that next is more productive for him.

Priskin Interested in Permanent QPR Move
at 12:13:03

Personally I don't understand why people have been getting on Priskin's back since he's joined us. If people cast their minds back to when Pablo first joined us (ok he didn't cost us 1.7m) he struggled to adapt in his first season, and both Pablo and Priskin are very similar players, both are techniqually gifted and good calm finishers. Priskin's transfer fee naturally raised expectations, putting extra pressure on him to perform from the start. I still believe that Priskin is and will be a good talented footballer, and if he doesn't prove that with Ipswich then that's Ipswich's and the managements fault, not necessarily all Priskin's.
Surely part of the managements job description is to help improve players ability, raise their confidence in their ability. That hasn't happened in Priskin's case and looks like a player who's morale has been severely knocked.
He's still young and has time to prove his worth to the club and the management. I sincerly hope he comes back in the summer and show why the club spent 1.7m.
