Once a blue... |

Very mixed bag for me on mounjaro. It does work and it's a semi-miracle cure. But it also had some pretty horrible side-effects for me. After losing complete control of my calorie intake through a combination of binge eating and overeating, I got to a very unhealthy weight. I did a course of Mounjaro From June to August. I lost over a stone in my first 2 months - Great! I also felt full after very little food and wasn't compelled to snack - great! BUT - I spent the first 3 days after each jab with no energy whatsoever - I just felt extremely lethargic. When I went up to the 2nd strength in month 2, I got horrendous indigestion constantly (absolutely foul sulphurous gas emmissions from both ends the majority of the day - which I had to manage with Pepto Bismol). And after my first injection of 3rd strength in month 3, I was HORRENDOUSLY sick (as in dry-wretching and couldn't even hold down water) - and spent the entire following day in bed completely out of it. At that point I decided to stop. As it happens, 2 days after that they announced the price hike, so perhaps I would have stopped regardless. I've since put on half a stone and my cravings are back. I'm greatful for losing the weight but that stuff put me through hell. It might not be the same for everyone, but I couldn't put myself through that again. I've now bought myself a cheap walking treadmill and am going to the gym twice a week, plus trying to get out more for walks around the Suffolk countryside. Progress is slow and sometimes i do gain a little (intake still does outweigh expenditure some days) - but at least I don't feel horrendous and can enjoy my day to day life. So very mixed bag and certianly for me it wasn't the easy fix that some people make it out to be. |

Was part of the Woolfenden Deal. 4m plus a Sheeran gig (we get the gate receipts). |

Who are we realistically going to need to wear that against though? There are no claret/blue teams in this division. As far as I know there arent any teams that are blue and red. |

I think the fact that he is a home-grown player and a long-serving one makes a lot of fans ignore those shortcomings you've mentioned. If he wasn't an Ipswich lad I don't think as many fans would be as sentimental. Yes he is our best CB on the ball by far. He also has a fairly good reading of the game, positions himself quite well, and wins a fair share of standing tackles and blocks when he's next to an opposition player. I often thought he'd almost be able to do a decent job as defensive midfield. I think he fed off Hladky quite well as both of them were capable with their feet, but of course with Palmer we can't do what we used to at the back. I actually don't think he's any worse than Greaves at the moment, but that's not particularly difficult givent current form. Greaves gets that LCB starting role though because he's left-footed. But like Greaves he is really lacking physically. He is quite slow. And for somebody who is 6' 4" is also not very dominant in the air. I don't recall him winning many headers in the opposition area in set pieces. And in our own box he is often bullied by strong CFs and loses a fair share of headers - compared to someone like Burgess who was the same height but won everything in the air. Plus I think he isn't as quick to react as say DOS - Woolfie doesn't cut out many low crosses across the box if he has to move to block it, and you don't see him throwing his body on the line like our starting CBs do. I wish him well and of course it's sad as you always want to see home-grown players play and succeed - but I am not going to be too devastated if he does leave. I just hope he finds a good club and gets game time there as he's too good to sit on a bench. |

I'd say if any player requires treatment for over 1 minute on the field of play, then they must be substituted. Time starts from when the physio enters the field. Any player requiring more than one session of on-field treatment must be substituted. Players may leave the field at any time and have treatment off the pitch, and this does not count towards the above limits. Therefore only truly hurt players should stop the game. Plus this prevents hurt players from aggrevating injury. |

I would have to disagree with you I'm afraid. Arm is up away from his body at head height, blocking the cross/shot. Nothing intentional about it no. But letter of the law these days that's a penalty all day long if the arm is in that position. How he didn't give us one for Hirst however...now that truly was shocking! |

Also some rather expensive underachievers at present. Need our big-money acquisitions to prove their worth. |

I always try not to get too excited about a player just from youtube videos. These highlight reels are all well and good, but you can make any player look good with a few well-selected clips. Also the defending in some of these is pretty awful and the league these were filmed in I imagine would be below the Championship, so you always have to take them with a pinch of salt. Not saying he's a bad player of course. It sounds like he's got a lot of potential and at that sort of money he SHOULD be a very good player. But I'm reserving my excitement untill I've actually seen him play a few matches for us. |

Don't think McAteer will start. It will probably be Clarke or Ogbene. McAteer will be on the bench I imagine. |

You need to do the tour every evening for the rest of the month so you can give us updates on imminent signings! |
 | Forum Reply | How much will Woolfie go for? at 11:04 22 Aug 2025
Given the 2 clubs that have been linked with him are Coventry and Watford, who arent exactly loaded with cash.. I would expect around 3-4M Unless somebody else comes in who can blow them out of the water. |

Hard to tell in real time. But benefit of slow mo, keeper got there first and was the correct decision. One of the few he's actually got right. |
 | Forum Reply | Could Palmer have claimed that cross? at 12:51 17 Aug 2025
My first shout when the cross went in was KEEPERS BALL. It was only half a yard outside the 6 yard box with little pace. A quality keeper comes and catches that I think. |
 | Forum Thread | Could Palmer have claimed that cross? at 12:45 17 Aug 2025
So many errors leading up to their goal. But am I the only one who thinks Palmer could have come and claimed the cross? It was floated in. I think the defenders half expected him to come claim it which is why they all stopped. Dare I say it but I think Muric would have come caught that. |

The biggest Ipswich fan. Bigly. Most amazing Ipswich fan ever in the history of the world. Nobody knows more about Ipswich Town than him. |
