Is this season a write-off already?
at 18:56 20 Nov 2021

After today's daylight robbery of a loss, I feel as if this season is just going be a repeat of last seasons. Lots of hope before Xmas before it all starts to unravel itself to a sub par finish.
I want to believe we're going to into the top 6 this season, but we stutter and stumble again against opposition which we should of blown out of the water with the amount of chances we had.
It really is painful being a Town fan. We want our team to succeed but at the moment nothing is happening to suggest a top 6 finish, although I'd love to proved wrong come May.
I really am hoping that we do turn this season back around, we're already 7 points off the top 6.
All I've known as a young Town fan (21), is empty promises, relegation and unbearable pain. All I want is at least one successful campaign, is that too much to ask for?
My faith is fast running out, but keep the faith, I guess.

The Torture of Past, Present and Future
at 14:46 31 Oct 2021

Both me (21) and my dad (51) both went to the Plymouth game yesterday, as it was only a 20 minute bus ride away for us. Got ourselves to the Mannamead pub pre game for a few pints and to chat to fellow South West based fans before heading up to Home Park. We'd been to see Town few times throughout the past few years, but the last recorded win we'd been to was in the 2016 season when we had won 2-1 at home to Middlesbrough (I think!)
The last 3 games we had been to have all been defeats (last seasons 4-1 loss to Peterborough, losing to Exeter in a cup 2-1 and then Cheltenham this season). We're hoping to break the voodoo of our travels with at least a point at Home Park. Boy, didn't that go well. For most of the game yesterday, my head were in my hands, praying for a win but it never materialised. We'd lose possession on key areas of the pitch, we did everything but get that 2nd elusive goal, and on top of that to find the ref being rather one sided. We'd both had left after FT being so frustrated and to cap it off, most of my mates (who live in Plymouth and surrounding areas) were rubbing it in on the socials.
All I've ever known in my lifetime as a Town fan is pain, frustration and anger. I've only seen our club go down due to poor management, poor squads and a poor owner.
It's actually frustrating to find ourselves where we are. We only find ourselves 1 point better off this season than last season, even though our club has been stripped bare and new additions have been brought in.
Oh well, 3 points on Tuesday then, anyone?

Any South West based supporters going to this game? Only coming from Saltash, just a 15 minute bus ride from Home Park, would love to see if anyone else is planning to go :)

Feelings and Thoughts
at 01:54 6 Apr 2021

So then,
After the worst possible result we've had this season happening today, I feel as if I should, as a young Ipswich supporter, voice my thoughts and opinions on ITFC.
Today's result for me, has to be the worst, if not, one of the worst results in our recent history. Drawing 0-0 with Rochdale, whomst are bottom of the league with the worst defensive record in League 1. How can our players, who look clueless at times, think we can push up to the play offs? They seem more interested about there wage packet then whats going on the pitch. I feel as if a huge clear out of our club is needed (where have I heard that before?). Jackson looked toothless upfront, no midfield push or creativity and no real sense of taking hold of the game by the scruff of the neck. 5 shots and none on target, is very poor, considering Cook wants to push our half arsed players to the playoffs.
Watching the game today, with my 51 year old father, he turned round to me at full time and said "I feel really sorry for you under 25 year old Ipswich supporters". He goes on to say "at least I saw us getting promoted twice, under Lyle and Burley, and the Uefa Cup on the telly when i was 8. In the past 15 years, maybe more, I've only seen us really push once to get promotion". Tells you a lot about this clubs ambitions, under Evans's management.
So where does this leave us young Town fans?
Are we to be ambitious and hope this deal pulls through?
Only time will tell.

The Guardians article on ITFC

I've read the article, I think it paints a very honest picture to fans and outsiders.
Would love to hear thoughts and views!

Going to the Exeter game tomorrow, looking forward to it. Travelling from SE Cornwall, about 45 mins drive away. Anyone else coming from Cornwall/Devon to see tomorrow afternoons game?

As the title says, we only just managed to get tickets in the home end, slap bang in the middle too! :)

What an absolute diabolical first half....
at 15:56 20 Oct 2018

No creativity at all (all though some flashes of passing from Chalobah)
I don't know what Gerken was thinking for the first one, perhaps he was Superman?
2nd goal was a poor challenge and a correct decision by the referee
One-twos with the keeper and it's clueless.

Something needs to happen this 2nd half, and fast!

Celina is off to the Swans

Apparently on the verge of signing them for £4 million. Man City are willing to let him go, as he's pretty much not going to get much game time.
