Bristol City (A) ticket details…
at 20:16 8 Sep 2025

I couldn't convince my other half that a trip to Bristol was the perfect way to finish a honeymoon, so there'll be one more seat up for grabs that wouldn't usually be available!

Where's the pressure on Farage to resign for avoiding stamp duty?
at 15:39 8 Sep 2025

Whether it was an honest mistake or not is the crux of it though isn't it?

Surely you have just effectively said 'Is it black or white? - I've no idea, but it's definitely white'.

Very good on Angela Rayner
at 00:38 5 Sep 2025

My thoughts:

1. She's filled in a questionnaire from the solicitor and told them she doesn't own any other properties because she believed that she didn't own any other properties,
without taking advice.

2. The solicitor has therefore calculated the Stamp Duty and filed the SDLT return on this basis.

3. It turns out that she should have gone to any half decent tax adviser or accountant who would have quickly told her the nuance in the legislation and that she needs to pay the higher rate.

4. Being in high office, and clearly with a complicated situation going on with a house in trust, she should probably have known to check whether there were SDLT implications when buying a second home.

5. She's probably been a bit economical with the truth about seeking advice when buying the flat and has thrown the solicitor under the bus.

6. At no point has she attempted knowingly to evade tax. She's been naive and it's bitter her in the arse... it happens.

7. Life goes on. She gives more than she takes.

8. Next drama please.

Maybe any language barriers that Núñez has have been considered by the signing of a Spanish striker too...

I hate 99% of chants that are suggested on here.

But this is great chant, the last line is perfect... good work!

Edit: don't know what the original last line was, 'Nunez is a Blue' was the one I am referring to.

Don't know how to upload a photo but there is a very prominent 'ITFC' which has been graffitied on a mill in the middle of Macclesfield which brightens my morning up on the way to work!

Our patience and support is also required, and going to be tested, over what is likely to turn out to be a rocky couple of months before we start seeing the fruits of KM and the coaching team's labour.

Stick with it boys and girls!

Obviously none of those players are as good as gone, we've just signed some of them.

Only one has proven themselves to be better than Championship level though, and he is now in his twilight years. I don't care about the price tags, we were paying premiums as a Premier League side for untapped potential. McKenna needs to tap it if we're going to see their worth.

This season is arguably the manager's biggest challenge as a manager since joining, to oversee the transition in the squad, keep the hunger in the dressing room that we're so used to reading about, and create another promotion winning side.

Personally, I think it's as big a challenge as getting us promoted from the division two years ago when we were riding the crest of a wave. I'm not saying he can't do it, but it's not a given this year.

Personally, I don't see it.

We punched above our weight to get out of the division, a team that was greater than the sum of its parts. We've recruited strong Championship players since, with a couple that were a cut above, who have now gone (or as good as gone).

Now we have a strong Championship squad, which should compete well, but are certainly not head and shoulders above the other strong sides in the division.

We should expect to do well, but we shouldn't be considered a shoe-in for promotion, in what will be a long, tough season.

If you're at the point where you have to decide between singing 'Ips' or 'Switch' in an Ipswich song, I'd say it's a pretty strong sign that that particular song, as catchy as it is, just isn't for us.

We'd lost 7 in a row in Division 1, then I was born and we only lost one of the remaining ten, winning six, including Norwich at home 2-0, going on to finish above then by two points in 12th.
