If you're at the point where you have to decide between singing 'Ips' or 'Switch' in an Ipswich song, I'd say it's a pretty strong sign that that particular song, as catchy as it is, just isn't for us. [Post edited 1 Aug 3:15]

Same thread every year. Old people getting frustrated about the coverage of Glastonbury because they can't go to Glastonbury anymore shocker! Juat buy a ticket if you miss it that much! |

We'd lost 7 in a row in Division 1, then I was born and we only lost one of the remaining ten, winning six, including Norwich at home 2-0, going on to finish above then by two points in 12th. |

I was wearing a flag around my waist on the way out of Maine Road that night and a City fan with a lighter behind me set fire to it! |

Don't understand your point. Reads like you're suggesting KM should have selected an injured player instead of Clarke. |

Same here with Bet365... Put it on when I got back from the Leicester game, just had a feeling. I never bet on football, let alone Ipswich! |

Had it been for City or Arsenal, it gets given. That's the frustration. I was hoping watching MOTD and seeing all the angles would make me feel better than I did leaving the ground this afternoon, but I'm thoroughly fooked off with that. Isn't the point of VAR that obviously bad decisions on which games can hinge like this shouldn't be allowed to occur anymore? |

But we're not in the '60s anymore and that team would be relegated. We're in limbo now, with some new players who are either injured or haven't bedded/fitted in, and a squad of promoted players who collectively were better than the sum of their parts in the division below but individually aren't good enough to make a notable difference to the side in the Premier League. I'd rather see Jack Taylor than Calvin Phillips at the moment, but otherwise there's no one else from last season who would currently make a difference. |

Both he and Morsy struggled today... which is a concern given the other options. Gap in quality and physique is beginning to show, when confidence now looks fragile. |

Ball was clearly played by an Arsenal player. Correct decision by VAR. |

Of course you need your hands to play football! Especially a defender, who needs to get tight and mark opposition players. Also, at right back, and I can't remember, but presumably he has throw in duties down his side. Get well soon Axel. |

Are there any plans to get more stock of the Fulham print? |

He very belatedly pointed for a goal kick, prior VAR getting involved. |
 | Forum Reply | Why Ipswich town signed Sammie Szmodics at 18:48 16 Aug 2024
The number of one-on-ones is incredible... timing of the runs top notch. Fingers crossed he can do the same despite the inevitably pacier Premier League defenders, and then all we have to do is play the right balls for him. |

This is of course all dependent on market conditions in 12 months' time being similar to they are today, and the players being as fit as they are today. No obvious reasons why they won't be, but it isn't risk free for a club new to the league to spend big. |
