Theatre district might be easiest, as several options. I shall investigate some pubs and report back. |

Totally agree... years ago I worked with the PA on a project surrounding fake news. The lengths they go to verify and fact check a story, and more importantly images and video clips are impressive. Especially under time pressure to push the story out. I can't remember the specifics - but after a bombing in a European airport - the PA recieved hundreds of supposed 'live witness' accounts of mobile phone footage from the scene. About 90% were completely bogus and some even from a different decade. Without this level of integrity there is no trust - especially as the PA sits near the top of the news tree. I really don't know how they'll manage with the advent and progression of creative AI. |

That’s made me chuckle, and makes a lot of sense. In my 25 odd years involved in news / image distribution and syndication - I’ve witnessed about 3 kill notices during that time. Kill notices only amplify the story, as it highlights the error or mistake - which is why they are so rarely used. It really is two fingers up to them |
| Forum Reply | Looking at stats only, doesn't look like Leeds or Leicester... at 22:45 5 Mar 2024
I’m now trying not to get caught up in obsessing with Leeds, Southampton and Leicester. I’ll just stir fry my mind wok otherwise. I’m now calming down after that game with a bit of les Dawson-esque piano jazz from the mrs, a glass of white and the first big, fat, rolled one for about a year. We might just do this |

Wolfy is a legend in the making. I know years ago he had a tag of ‘lacks concentration, too laid back’, but the kid is ridiculously good - mainly through McKenna’s coaching. He raises his levels against a better level of opposition every time and just keeps improving. We’ll look back in 20 years time at him as our Baresi / Maldini figure. He’s still no age for a CB playing La pausa like he does. Maybe sounds over the top - but arnie, just go back to Norwich |
| Forum Reply | TWTD Hive Mind topic: Allergy tests at 10:49 24 Feb 2024
I have weird problems with histamine intolerance. I sorted it all out with Boots, was about £130 which I thought a bit rich at the time, especially when they basically sellotape different food stuff to your arm to see what happens. However, they followed up with blood and saliva tests and the results were bang on. Some things, I already knew - like an intolerance to milk; but other stuff was a game changer and now it’s easy to avoid certain foods. Not sure if Boots still offer it nowadays, but I’d thoroughly recommend paying for the service. My sister tried a home kit and it was pretty useless. It’s not so much the testing, but the recommendations and consultancy that you are paying for. |

Good luck! I don’t think wizzair uses technology or aerodynamics to stay in the air - just faith of the passengers. Treat to yourself to the two bottles of wine and free peanut deal for a tenner once you board! |
| Forum Reply | Worst airline you’ve ever flown at 20:24 22 Dec 2023
Wizzair is the correct answer. So many awful stories about this shambles of a company including, diverting 500 miles from destination at the last minute and being left in Northern Bulgaria overnight. Planes not existing for flights, and my favourite ‘no bathroom facilities are available on this flight’. I’d rather w@nk off a dead tramp under a perpetual waterfall of dog sh1t for eternity than even receive a marketing email from this lot |

We now live out in the sticks and have been told by numerous local sources that the Stranglers composed the riff to Golden Brown in our house. It was then used as storage by the owner of Island Records to house his giant record collection. |
| Forum Reply | Five best non-Ipswich players you personally ever saw at 09:59 29 Sep 2023
Best player I’ve ever seen in the flesh, is probably Georgi Kinkladze. In the pre-match warm up, he did keepy ups with two footballs at once and I’m sure wasn’t even trying. Dennis Bergkamp - he’s definitely part X-Men in that he seemed to make time and people freeze, whilst he worked out in his head what was happening about 10 seconds ahead of play. Just football in a parallel dimension Ronaldo (Brazil) - weapon grade footballer Hristo Stoichkov - a top of the pyramid predator of a footballer. Never ever switched off and constantly looked like he wanted to shot gun someone’s knees out. My Brother - for scoring a 30 yard free kick against me, that pinged off the crossbar and broke it. |

Ha ha ha… ‘just taking the dog out, love.’ Not me sadly, I was out before the pubs opened. Best time for dogging |

Might have been me! I was walking our golden retriever by the Three Locks pub, wearing the UEFA Cup COPA shirt. But as LBBlue mentions, there are quite a lot of us in the MK to Leighton Buzzard area. We see a good few Towen shirts every week |

Appreciate that this might be a bit late now. But please consider walking poles… it sounds like you’ve probably got them if your knees are bust, but if not, an absolute game changer. Will take a lot of pressure off of your joints. I’ll admit, I thought they were for pensioners or Nordic types but I used them on a few climbs in Central Asia and never looked back. |

I’d give it a 3 although maybe generous as it’s not too bad at all if you are reasonably fit. Weather is the biggest factor and that really will determine your overall experience. I’ve been up in T shirt with spliff and wondered why I brought a heavy bag of equipment with me (the waterproofs rather than the hash). I’ve never been hugely fit, but I had been at altitude prior - so I was cheating a bit. My brother went up in worse weather and absolutely hated it, saying it was one of his worst day’s ever. Be sensible with what you take and make sure you’ve decent footwear. The amount of idiots that walk in trainers is astonishing. It’s a stunning climb though. Probably my favourite in the UK for pictures. Have fun! |
